Lovely cottage in a rural setting. So peaceful and quiet even though it’s within a working farm. Easy access to all the wonderful south coastal highlights, yet a great place to retreat to each evening. Would definitely revisit.

We’ve just arrived home from our lovely weekend away at Pigs House, what a beautiful home, everything you could need was there, comfortable bed with beautifull linen, lovely large walk-in shower, beautifully designed kitchen & everything you could need for a self catering home!!! The underfloor heating & lovely log burner made it so cosy & warm, mind you it was such a beautiful sunny weekend,we could actually sit out on the patio area & enjoy the winter sunshine whilst enjoying our lovely homemade scones, jam & clotted cream left by the owner in our arrival,a really lovely touch & they were DELICIOUS!!! We even saw dears in the field opposite, gorgeous!! Really peaceful location, lovely walk to the local pub,The New Inn,lovely food & open fire!! Some great walks around too!! We will definitely be back again for a longer stay nexted time, but would definitely recommend a stay here, true escapism!!!

If you want quiet you get it, everything you need for a good s/c holiday. Very nice welcome pack, including homemade scones cream , and loaf and real butter. Ess accessories there, nice clean bedding. My only negative which has to go with the country side are the narrow lanes!. Would I go again, yes!.

Best not to rely on your sat-nav to find the property, it probably won't. Better to follow the owners directions. The area is a spiders web of "C" class roads often only one car wide with high hedges and occasional passing places. Care must be taken when you negotiate these with the many blind bends, as you can suddenly meet other traffic. Factor in that rain adds a lot of mud to these roads. At the end of our fortnights holiday our car looked like we had been off-roading or on a rally it was so splattered in mud. Bear in mind also that there is no local shop, pub or restaurant within walking distance of the property so if you want to avail yourself of these amenities in the evening you will have to drive, and possibly return in the dark. Having found the property we were very impressed from the moment we arrived. It is bigger than the pictures suggest and has a warm feeling (even without the heating on) and it is very bright due to the number of big windows and French doors. The kitchen has a double oven, a state of the art hob, a big fridge freezer, a super dish washer and a washing machine. All were in excellent as new condition. Likewise all of the crockery and cookware were unmarked. The dining area and lounge had comfortable quality furniture and the TV again was like new. There was a spacious bathroom with an excellent shower and vanity washbasin with a light. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The owner very kindly left a gift of scones, cream. butter and jam. Plus there was milk, tea and coffee. So what was there not to like ? Overall an excellent property and one of the best we have stayed in.

Pigs House is absolutely amazing, bang in the middle of nowhere, just perfect for a hideaway cottage. The owner surprised us with a lovely welcome pack of warm scones, butter ,clotted cream, strawberry jam with a jug of fresh milk and a loaf of bread. The cottage is very spacious and modern with a terrific shower, and the view is of the rolling countryside. We had fox Cubs playing in the garden ,along with the cows and peasants. A wonderful 4day break.

The Pig's House is a lovely cottage, very bright, spacious and comfortable with an excellent kitchen and super shower. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it can only be accessed down a very filthy farm track, leading to miles of twisty single track lanes, making any journey by car very slow and tortuous.
