We had a good time and it was ideally located for the activities we wanted to do, but you do need to go prepared with food as the shops are not close, although it's only a short walk to the local hotel/pub. It is an old house so you shouldn't expect ultra modern facilities, but it was reasonably furnished - although the lounge is very small if you have 8 people there at once. The kitchen equipment wasn't over generous for 8 although there was was enough. A bigger teapot would have been nice!! Shame there was wasn't a shower in each bathroom but we managed. The exterior photo of the property was slightly misleading as the rental area is only about a quarter of the frontage and the 'garden' area at the front was more of a boggy field. However, it provided all we needed for the week. If we were in the area again, we would consider staying there. The house is not adequately sign posted and we missed the entrance twice. A name plate at the entrance would help.

Damp rising on the walls, cobwebs, no place to sit outside (no patio), no garden, no view had only one shower for 3 bedrooms! The only good point was the quality of crockery, cutlery, furniture and parking space.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I’m sorry you weren’t happy, yes old houses do suffer a bit from damp and we certainly have had an awful lot of rain but the house is dry the only damp was the newly plastered walls which were not fully dry. Regarding nowhere to sit outside, there are two benches and the .75 acre which is clearly shown in the outside photos. We have two bathrooms which you definitely used. I’m glad you liked the crockery, cutlery and parking. I’m sorry you didn’t like the new fridge, 4 new mattresses, new bedding, expensive towels, and the new carpets in two rooms etc.
