Could do with a welcome pack. I.e Opening times of pubs, when they serve food, electric meter, rubbish/recycle. Or a greeting on arrival not two days in. Wifi was patchy at best and no phone signal

All the bad reviews about how damp and smelly this place is, along with the lack of maintenance throughout are TRUE. Things like, some of the windows have new blinds fitted but the old curtain pole still remains, a new part has been fitted to the sky dish, and the old part just thrown against the house, shower doors still do not meet in the middle, and water goes all over the floor. The main room light feature with multiple lamps, only has one bulb that actually works, and to turn the TV on we had to put our finger into the depths of the tv and feel around for the switch. These negative reviews won't be a surprise to the owner, as the comments book in the room for the guests, have pages that have been carefully cut out, and removed, to only show nice comments.

We arrived in the Village to find there were no signs showing where the cottage was located, eventually found it after asking a local resident, upon entering the cottage we were immediately aware of a damp/musty smell, unpacked our stuff and walked to local pub only to find we couldn't take our dogs in so went back to cottage for something to eat , finding out that the grill was very slow to heat up ( not a good start). The living area was quite warm because of the underfloor heating, but the bedrooms were absolutely freezing and smelt very damp! We actually went and bought some more bedding for ourselves after two days because the spare bedding was dirty and really smelly.Huge table in the property which wasn't necessary and tiny tv which I could hardly see! Whoever took the advertising pics done a really good job because the cottage looks quite large in photos but is quite small, the actual area is quite nice for dog walking/sightseeing etc but we won't be returning. The bathroom was dirty, broken tiles etc , shower doors didn't close and the drainage system made really strange noises! We were supposed to be staying for a week but left after 5 days after taking the pillows out of the cases and finding black mould all over them, also there is a fabric wardrobe in the bedroom which was totally black with mould on the bottom of it, don't think that the cottage should be allowed to be rented out as since our return home my wife has been really ill and is currently taking steroids and antibiotics due to breathing in the mould spores.
