Lovely spacious cottage set in beautiful area just at the bottom of the farm. Peaceful and relaxed which is exactly what we wanted. Nearest shops etc are a wee trek but happy compromise with area and views. Lodge and hot tub perfect. Hosts were great very unobtrusive but happy to help if required. Would recommend and will definitely return

The cottage was nicely furnished, spacious and very clean. The lounge was stunning and the kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything I needed. It was just as I had expected, very good quality accommodation with a beautiful & peaceful location. However there were a few "niggles"... the "welcome" was very rushed and felt more like an induction, with a list of things not to do. There were sets of "Rules" displayed inside the cottage. But I couldn't find a "welcome pack" or manuals for any of the appliances. Dishwasher tablets were provided but washing powder wasn't. The locking mechanism on the back door was loose which meant the door couldn't be unlocked from the inside and the bath didn't have a plug. I informed the owner about the problem with the lock and she was very apologetic and offered to hire a locksmith. I enjoyed my stay but I doubt I would make a return visit.

We were looking for a very relaxing holiday and we got it. We came back fully recharged. We loved watching the baby lambs and the horses. The walks were satisfying and the hot tub just perfect to end the day.

Fantastic 5 day break on a working farm away from the rat race of city live. The views from the cottage are unbelievable, you can see for miles and miles. The cottage has everything and more. And of course the hot tub is an added bonus.

Unfortunately, on opening the velux window in 3 of the 4 rooms on the first floor, we were exposed to a known fly infestation. The owners didn't tell us about it, or warn us of the issue on arrival, so we found out and had to kill around 60-70 flies. We did do as the owners asked in trying to deal with them, but it didn't result in a reduction of the problem, so we left the property after the second night and found a bed and breakfast.

Beautiful location right by Offa's Dyke. Helen the owner was very friendly and helpful. Various walks from the cottage. We all had a great time including the dog.

Lovely lodge, well equipped with everything needed to feel like youre 'home from home'Beautiful views and very peaceful location. Short drives from towns with supermarkets. The only downside was that after using the hot tub on our 2nd evening (showered before hand) on the 4th day when we came to use it again,we lifted the lid off and it smelt like quite a strong'fishtank''musty' type smell :( needless to say it was only used once during our stay which was a little upsetting but didnt want to bother the owners as we werent sure whether the smell was 'normal' having not used one before. If you have children, the small breeds animal farm is a must visit, inexpensive to get in and our girls loved being able to pet and feed the animals there.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your kind comments. We were devastated to hear of the problems you had with the hot tub, however, had you brought this to our attention at the time we would have been able to rectify the problem in a minute; it appears that temperature had been turned down and buttons pressed which caused the system to close down.

Amazing accommodation, so clean and comfortable. This was our second holiday in this location and it was just as relaxing as last year. The lodge itself is well equipped with everything you could possible need. Owners are really friendly and helpful. Views are beautiful and hot tub is an added bonus. Can't wait to go back.
