This contemporary townhouse is situated close to the seaside resort of Worthing, in a quiet cul-de-sac, 150 yards from the beach and promenade. Cultural events take place throughout the year in Worthing, and there is a stunning swimming pool right on the shoreline. The thriving shopping streets are a mix of national chains and department stores, with smaller shops and boutiques, and the South Downs National Park begins behind the town, offering scenic walks with views out to sea. This stretch of coast is also great for kite-surfing.
You will find the historic port of Littlehampton a few miles to the west, while the cosmopolitan city of Brighton and Hove lie to the east, with attractions ranging from Regency terraces and the Royal Pavilion, to the trendy Lanes district and the British Airways i360 observation tower. You can discover open-air museums, stately homes, wildlife parks and Roman remains in the Sussex countryside. Arundel and Chichester, with their antique shops, cathedrals and castle, are both within easy reach, while the racecourses at Goodwood and Fontwell lie a few miles beyond. Beach 150 yards.     A comfortable house and perfect location which we have stayed in before, but it has been treated rather poorly by some previous holiday tenants. Dishwasher parts were broken and the filter was filthy, had to wash every piece of crockery by hand. Part of the shower mechanism had been snapped off, the drain outlet in the shower needs a jolly good clean out as the water is up to your ankles in half a minute. Frying pans needed a jolly good scrubbing. I had to clean the filter on the small vacuum cleaner which was performing poorly and managed to get it working. Some minor decorating and new water sealant in one or two areas and it would be looking much better. However, we love the area as we used to live close by and we will most probably be back. We did meet Emma the cleaning lady who was very helpful and cleaned the house well.

I've just returned from visiting the house myself and I've replaced the broken shower clamp you noted. I was able to verify that the shower is draining freely once again. It does require treating with chemicals from time to time. The dish-washer is also working properly. Please do bring this kind of issue to the attention of the house-keeper, as it is often a simple matter for her to come and put it right.

    We just had a lovely stay at Pebble House with our 4 year old. We were really so impressed with the place, the most well equipped rental we've stayed at. Great value for money and so close to the beach. It snowed during our stay and the house was so warm and well insulated. Had a bit of trouble locking the back door properly so didn't open and close it much that's my only quibble.

    Loved the house, great location. Perfect for two adults and a small dog.... Some wonderful local walks. Great to walk along the promenade into Worthing. You must visit West Wittering, amazing sandy beach. We went end of January into February and got a great deal - not sure we could afford July... Overall a wonderful break - would certainly recommend. Thank you.

    Oh my goodness! The house was more than I bargained for. We had an absolute blast in the house! It was utterly amazing. There were builders next door that were really friendly. Any problems we had, we phoned the landlord and he was more than happy to help. 10/10 would recommend.

    Great house. Could do with new mattresses and pillows. Rubbish bin was full when we got there so we could not put any rubbish in the external garbage bin. That said, it is a great house and we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

    Response on behalf of the owner. I trust the housekeeper had emptied bins inside the house before you arrived, including large bins in the kitchen. It's possible the external bins will have contained some rubbish from previous guests, because the local authority only collects rubbish from the end of the road once per week currently on Wednesday with recyclable items collected every other week. It's best to leave the external bins at the end of the road until they've been emptied by the local authority, then bring them back to stand in front of the house, so you can easily transfer excess rubbish from the kitchen bins. I'm a little surprised by your comment about mattresses and pillows. The mattresses are good-quality sprung mattresses, which we turn once per year to ensure even wear, while pillows were recently renewed. If you have specific concerns, perhaps you would like to contact us directly.

    Very spacious house. Good idea to label all the cupboards and drawers. Plenty of clothes hangers. Cooker greasy so did not use. Would stay again if in the area. Garden only small paved area but weather not so good therefore not a problem. Previous occupants noted the keysafe difficult. We didn't find this a problem and opened easily as long as the numbers are lined up correctly.

    Fabulous property ,clean ,spacious and well equipped . Loved the situation ,good walks ,my little dog thoroughly enjoyed .... Would like softer pillows in bedroom ....

    We had a lovely time cottage was clean and comfortable throughout Location very good shops cafe sea all in walking distance which was good as we had our dog with us The weather was so sunny too.
