House was in general ok but the master bedroom was not good at all. Because of the gallery which to be honest wasn't needed as it looked onto front door was very noisy. Had to sleep with ear plugs in as you could hear a pin drop bellow.

Simply one of the best Scotish holidays we have taken in recent years. The cottage, especially the wonderful patio area in the back garden, was the main reason for this. We had superb weather for our fortnight and sitting out there surrounded by the branches of the big tree is an experience I will not forget and would love to repeat asap. The entire family loved it. The cottage managers were also excellent.

It is a wonderful, very spacious and fully equipped place, with a romantic garden and a quiet neighborhood, but it needs the following: 1- Cleanliness (even the sofas and the sheets are dirty). 2- Wi Fi 3- better beds 4- new water tap system (hot water is separated from cold water!!) and the hot water flow is weak.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- We are happy that you found the cottage spacious and well equipped and that you enjoyed the garden. In response to your suggestions for improvement, firstly please accept my apologies that you didn't find the cleanliness to be up to standard. We do have high standards from our caretaker and I would not expect you to have an issue with this. I'm also sorry that the beds were not to your liking - we normally have good feedback on the comfort and cleanliness and I believe this is an isolated occasion, but I will ensure that we look into these matters and rectify as necessary. It is standard in the UK for the hot water to be separated from the cold water as the cold water is drinking water and hot water isn't. Hot water flow can on occasion be weaker than normal if the tank is running low. We do not have Wifi in the cottage and the majority of guests actually enjoy this as it offers them the chance to fully unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Many visitors have smartphones, but I appreciate you were visiting from another country so this would have been more problematic. There is a Wifi service at the local MacDonald hotel which is 2 minutes walk away and we have the benefit of a membership so our guests can enjoy the facilities their free of charge as part of their stay. I hope this did not inconvenience you too much and you otherwise had a pleasant stay. Thank you for your feedback.
