A lovely cosy cottage situated on a farm close to the village of Bream. Despite the freezing weather the cottage stayed warm throughout and was great to come back to after our wintery walks in the forest. The quiet location and comfortable bed meant we slept really well. Just be aware that the lane into the village is very narrow in places but we didn't meet much traffic when we walked along it. We would stay there again.

First time to the area and although we prefer to walk from the property that is not always possible from every location, the Forest of Dean has plenty of options to walk through the forest on tracks and paths well maintained by the forestry commission. Our dog Rosie we feel liked it as far as we can tell except for the day out on the Dean Forest Railway was a bit frightening for her, (she is a retired racing greyhound who is not used to household noises and certainly not steam engines). A very enjoyable week.

This was a really good location, close to everywhere, Symonds Yat only about half hour away, which is good for walking, bike trails and views. Not far for good towns and nice cities if required, for the rainy days! The canopy cycle centre was also great for the average rider or more adventurous. Great walking straight out of Pathwell farm. Every thing we needed was provided in the cottage, including extras in the kitchen, i.e. lunch boxes, flask, etc. The bed was really comfy and two bathrooms was a really luxury. There was little space for wet coats and boots but I'm sure if we had asked we could have left stuff in the barn, where we could have left the bike for safe keeping in required. However it was so quiet we left the bikes out side the cottage and it felt perfectly safe. Would use again and defiantly recommend, might be a bit tight for four adults but for myself two teenagers and a dog it was great.

This was the second time we stayed in Ash. It is a very well appointed and comfortable cottage. It is in lovely area and would recommend it. Mr & Mrs Williams are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting, with great hosts! Only criticism could do with a slightly bigger sofa!
