This pretty mid-terraced former tin miner’s cottage has been refurbished to a very good standard retaining much charm and character. An ideal holiday base for touring this historic area with easy access to Bodmin Moor. The Eden Project is 40 minutes’ drive with the beaches of the north and south coasts easily reached. Looe and Polperro, 20 minutes. Siblyback Lake for fishing, sailing and windsurfing, with Golitha Falls, Hurlers Stone Circle and Liskeard 4 miles. Farm shop 100 yards, pub 200 yards.

Kitchen/dining room: With wood burner, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and tiled floor.

    Lovely quirky cottage. Not suitable for children or anyone with a mobility issue. Well equipped and comfortable beds. Parking may be a problem but wasn't for us. Garden was just so pretty and with amazing views from the top. Cottage was warm and cosy.

    Cottage is fantastically located, close to Looe, Newquay and St Ives at a push. Cottage its self had comfortable beds, however the general cleanliness of the cottage could have been of a higher standard

Your comments in relation to location and rating for comfort and equipment, local amenities and value for money were much appreciated. The cleanliness rating and the overall rating is however a cause for concern. Presumably you felt the property only warranted a rating of 1 for cleanliness when you arrived as we cannot be responsible for the condition of the property when you leave. You may recall when discussing the collection of keys you were provided with several contact numbers and were invited to contact us, in the event that you had any concerns at all upon arrival or required any assistance during your stay. We further advised that we had people on hand locally in the unlikely event of any problems. Unfortunately we were not given an opportunity to rectify this perceived issue, nor have we been able to obtain any details of your concerns following your feedback. Cleanliness is perhaps the most important component of an enjoyable stay and the low rating given in relation to the same does not correlate to the rating of 7 for value for money which again, does not lie well with the overall rating of 4. We have tried to contact you following your review as we have found no cleanliness issues. We can therefore only assume that an error has been made during the rating process.

    Lovely cottage, pictures make it look much bigger that it is, but was still okay for space.
