Great base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The lovely town of Skipton is a 10 minute walk up the canal. The house is situated on a busy main road which can be noisy but the aspect at the back over the park is nice. Basic, clean and comfortable - we shared the cost between 6 of us so excellent value for money, would use again.

Lovely Cottage, very clean and homely. We had three dogs, my whippet and my girl friends two Cairns. It is a fifteen minute walk into Skipton down the canal towpath, (just across the road) you can take your dogs in two the Black Horse pub or the Cake hole cafe plus many others. I have only marked the location down as on a main road but because you access from the rear this is not really important. there is a park at the back of the cottage where you can walk the dogs, this had to be on leads as crawling with rabbits. my photo is from a bedroom winwow

We spent a good week in the cottage. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in (apart from at home!) It was not a good week for weather but while inside the cottage we were cosy and comfortable. I have no criticisms of the cottage but an improvement would be some sort of indoor drying rack for clothes.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. With regards to your suggestion, there is a folding drying rack located in the pantry behind the ironing board. I have now moved it in front of the ironing board to make it more accessible.

A very well equipped and well located house. The photos really don't do it justice. Kids loved the park and it's a lovely walk into Skipton along the canal path. It's a real bonus to be able to take dogs too.
