Convenient location

Conveniently situated between the market towns of Bungay and Harleston, these attractive properties are set at the edge of the owner’s 6 acre farm, adjacent to the A143. Park Farmhouse dates back over 400 years and is a listed building retaining many unique historic features, with some of the timbers dating back 800 years. Originally built for the local mayor, the farmhouse was once the village bakery and the original bread oven is still in the dining room – it then became a riding school. Beamed throughout, with original herringbone brick flooring in the dining room, it has two woodburners and a well-equipped bespoke kitchen with a range cooker. Oaktree 1, 2 and 3 are all single storey properties with lots of character. Fishing is available on request at the owner’s 4½-acre fishing lake, 2 minutes walk away (at cost). With separate drive and courtyard gardens, the properties have been converted and furnished to a very good standard. There is easy access to the country city of Norwich, seaside resorts at Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft and the Norfolk Broads at Beccles. The market towns of Harleston, 3 miles, and Bungay, 4 miles have a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants and for beer enthusiasts the small independent breweries of Grain, 1 mile, and St Peter’s, 3 miles, are easily accessible. Shops and restaurant 3 miles, pubs 200 yards. Properties 19980, 19981 and 19982 and 30285 can be booked together to accommodate up to 21 guests.

    An excellent cottage, built around 450 years ago that retains original features while sympathetic upgrades suitable for meeting the needs of today, for a family gathering. The cottage provided plenty of space for adults and children to share within the cottage nd was an ideal location to celebrate a birthday.

    This was a comfortable house for our extended family. A toilet on the top floor would have been very useful. The limited worksurfaces in the kitchen made catering for large numbers challenging.

    Park farmhouse is a very clean and well equipped house. The inside of the house is beautiful, my only recommendation is they put a new oven in as the current one is difficult to use and gets boiling hot on the outside (which is clearly labelled). However, the garden is a mess and not very nice. I think this will improve as the owners are building a beautiful wall round the front garden, hopefully they will sort out the grass and planting too. The backgarden is unusable as it is rough 'grass' and not enclosed. We had under 5's so couldn't let them in there. The house is literally on a very busy A road, this is in the description but it is noisy.
