The photos don’t do the cottage justice. Beautifully clean, well equipped with everything that you need. Modern and very well decorated throughout. Enough space for a family. Lots of kitchen cupboards and bench space, so like a home from home. A little far from any amenities, but we were pleased of the peace. Already booked to return.

Immaculate cottage, beautiful setting. Great for wanting to get away from it all and relax. Cannot fault the cottage at all.

A wonderful stunning place to stay with great views. It had the most amazing comfortable mattress which ensured a great nights sleep and a relaxing break.

A wonderful place to stay if you're looking for solitude, beautiful scenery and want to be close to nature and wildlife. It's the only place I've seen hares close up! Oxen Law cottage is warm and cosy thanks to underfloor heating regulated by room thermostats. Modern kitchen and appliances make life a breeze. The showers and bathrooms are top notch. If you're keen to learn about the industrial heritage of this part of County Durham then you'll be fascinated by the history of The Waskerley Way and inspired to walk or bike it. Talk to the local farmers to get a real flavour of what life was like for them and their families who have lived here for centuries.

Simply perfect, best cottage we've ever stayed in. Location is brilliant, so peaceful and quiet. The cottage is beautiful and done to a very high standard. The owners leave you to it so it just feels like a home from home! 5 star!
