Owls Roost is a charming and cosy property in the much sought-after Aldeburgh. Ideal for those exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

This cute detached cottage is decorated in a stylish and relaxing palette. Light and airy, you can watch the sun rise through the garden doors from the bedroom. The open-plan living area offers a contemporary kitchen and comfortable seating area. Located a 20-minute walk from the beach and in a quiet street, you can be assured of relaxed evenings. Enjoy breakfast in the private garden before seeking out all that this fantastic area has to offer. Perfect for relaxing in following a day of seaside, cycling, sailing, bird watching, or exploring local walks.
Aldeburgh is the home of British composer Benjamin Britten and remains a centre for the arts and literature with the Aldeburgh Music Festival, the Proms, an annual poetry festival, documentary film festival, exhibitions and galleries, food festivals and many other cultural events. Fresh locally caught fish can be bought daily (weather permitting) from the fishermen’s huts along the beach. It is a quintessential coastal town.
Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this gentle and understated landscape, with its pubs aplenty, offers a day’s walking that can be rewarding and enjoyable. As well as coastal walks, the River Alde and surrounding areas can be explored by foot. Minsmere Bird Sanctuary lies just up the coast towards Southwold. The town of Southwold is ideal for visiting the famous Adnams Brewery, or just up the Sailors’ Path, following the River Alde, is Snape, famous for the Snape Maltings Concert Hall. The small historical Roman town of Aldeburgh is a cultural tourist destination. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living room/kitchen. 1 double (5ft 6in zip and link, can be 2ft 9in twin on request) bedroom with patio doors. Shower room with toilet.

Gas central heating (underfloor in shower room), gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. 34" Smart TV. DVD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Freezer. Wi-fi. Small enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Parking (1 car). Welcome pack. No smoking.

Lovely accommodation but the sofa was quite uncomfortable and it was a little too far a walk into town for us (particularly walking back as it's uphill).

Ideal bolt hole for two. Little unusual situation in front garden in residential road! Bit further from High street and sea front than expected. Sofa a little uncomfortable, bed excellent! Very clever use of space but would appreciated a couple of extra glasses and dishes. Spotlessly clean and Jessica, the owner, very welcoming and helpful

The Owls Roost had everything you needed and more, excellent little touches and the land lady is a smiley delight. Highly recommend!

Owls Roost was a lovely, quiet place to stay, being surprisingly spacious inside. Jessica the owner, who lives on site, gave us a very warm welcome and was not intrusive in any way. The cottage was simple but very comfortable , and had everything we needed. There were plenty of attractions nearby, and Aldeburgh was a pleasant walk away.

A very modern, clean, warm and welcoming cottage in Aldeburgh. It's a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre and beach. The surrounding houses are not especially picturesque but that does not detract from the chic modern cottage and a lovely host owner who was most welcoming.

Owls Roost is compact but cosy, very modern, recently built in March 2016. Spotlessly clean, all equipment you need for a self catering stay, plus a washing machine, which is a big must for me👍🏻It would only suit 2 people at the most with 1 dog, anymore would be too much. Jessica the owner is a very lovely lady, very warm, smiley & welcoming😄 On arrival she had left us some biscuits, milk, tea bags & some flowers, which was very thoughtful. It's the first time we have ever stayed in someones garden & shared their driveway, which was strange for us, but Jessica is not intrusive. She has made a very beautiful courtyard garden at the back, only thing we weren't too keen on was the woven willow fencing, it made the garden not very private, as she could see us in our garden & we could see her in her garden!
