Description

With its amazing location, this property provides an ideal country retreat whilst remaining close to many places of interest.

These renovated old farm buildings exude charm, with exposed beams and oak floors, and are set in the most idyllic location amidst the owner’s 350-acre working farm. Adjoining one another, they are surrounded by a moat and rolling Suffolk countryside, and provide an ideal ‘get away from it all country holiday retreat’, yet lie within easy driving distance of numerous places of interest.
An abundance of picturesque villages are close by including the old wool market town of Lavenham, famous for its Guildhall, medieval buildings and antique shops. The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Hadleigh and the races and stud farms at Newmarket are all easily accessible. The Suffolk and Norfolk Coasts, the Constable Countryside of Dedham Vale and the stunning university city of Cambridge are well worth visiting. Shop and pub 2 miles.

Spacious living room/well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen with wood-burning stove, oak and brick floor with French doors to enclosed patio and garden area. Dining room with oak floor. Double bedroom (5ft bed) with en-suite shower room and toilet. First floor: Gallery with day bed (for +1) and pull-out bed (for +1) (can form double). We had a wonderful stay at Owls End, it was the perfect sanctuary for our laid back hen party. The hot tub and location made it for us! 10 out of 10 loved it and would love to visit again. We are very local being only a few miles away and can't believe we have only just discovered this gem of a place. Beautiful! Thank you

We stayed at owls end may 2016, ten ladies and a dog for my 50th birthday, we came here just to relax ,and relax we did. The owners were very friendly, leaving us a bottle of fizz, the accommodation surpurb, this converted barn has everything you need, we made full use of the hot tub, and did have the wood burner on one evening. The surrounding were just beautiful, we sat in the hot tub watching the baby ducks swim past, our weekend was just perfect, we also had glorious weather, would I stay at owls end again? Try and stop me, what's not to love,

Really nice break - the games area was well stocked - particularly for children (ironically this was the first year we came away without any!) . The cottage was well laid out, with the dining room providing a comfortable (if slightly tight) area for dinner. The lounge was welcoming with the wood burner, and the hot-tub certainly used to it's full potential. The gallery room was comfortable enough - though a bit noisy so wouldn't work for all parties.

Booked for a family get together and was ideal for 3 generations staying together, the downstairs ensuite bedroom being ideal for grandparents, and the mattresses from the bunk beds easily moved to the large upstairs bedroom so all teenage cousins could sleep together. Table was big enough for all 10 of us to sit round very comfortably. The accommodation was very cosy even without the wood burning stove. There was plenty to please all;sitting on the patio area in the afternoon sun or in the hot tub in the evening or granddad being beaten by the grandkids at pool or table tennis. Could not recommend this property enough

Excellent accomodation, the hot tub being a great bonus! Well equiped and very comfortable. Being without a car, it was rather isolated though.

Absolutely perfect. Well equipped, comfortable beds, all that we could need. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!
