Description

This holiday property is set in a wonderful location, surrounded by 350 acres of grounds and woodland.

Ideal touring base

Originally part of the famous Wimpole Hall Estate and built as a hunts lodge and stables in 1840, these properties are located only 1 mile from Wimpole Hall. The cottages have been restored to a very good standard providing an ideal holiday base for the many attractions Cambridgeshire has to offer. Set amidst 350 acres and in an ’Area of Best Landscape’, the farm surrounds an ancient woodland which is designated as a ’Site of Special Scientific Interest’. Many footpaths and bridleways traverse the farm and woods, giving excellent walks and rides. Duxford Air Museum and Cambridge, 10 miles. Within 25 miles are Saffron Walden, Bedford, Letchworth, Ely, Huntingdon, St Ives and Newmarket for the races. Other local attractions are Denny Abbey, Hamerton Zoo, The Raptor Foundation and the American Cemetery. There are numerous golf courses and riding schools, even go-karting and hot air balloon rides. Shop 21/2 miles, pub 11/2 miles.

    A really nice location. Comfortable cottage with everything we needed as a family. If wifi was available, it would have made the stay perfect.
