We loved the cottage-it was just right for two but would be a bit of a squash for more. The road didn't bother us as the cottage is set well back and has secondary glazing. The bedroom in the loft was cosy, but unsuitable for small children or elderly people as the staircase was a bit tricky. We were lucky with the weather and spent quite bit of time looking around Lewes which is a beautiful little town and walking the coastal paths. We hope to return later in the year.

Our second stay at the cottage and we will hopefully be back next year. It's cosy and comfy and a good base to explore the surrounding area. The wifi was a welcome addition since our last visit and the milk, eggs and crusty bread awaiting our arrival were gratefully appreciated. The tv in the lounge could do with being bigger but you don't go on holiday to watch tv all day. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is a perfectly adequate flat but very small with limited storage space in the kitchen and no freezer or freezer compartment in the fridge. The location would have been marked excellent but for the fact that it is on the main road and the early morning traffic to and from Newhaven was intrusive. However, the flat has most things you need, there are beautiful views from the sitting room, it is close to Monks House, Lewes, Charleston etc. and the Downs. I suspect that for many people this would be an ideal location.

Very good holiday, we enjoyed staying in the cottage. Location was good for sightseeing and it was well equipped. Secure parking was also a bonus.

Great location, the only down side was the road noise in the early morning and early evening. New mattress needed for the bed, tiles in bathroom needed cleaning and extractor fan extremely noisy. We enjoyed our stay at Ouseside cottage.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location. The local pub serves great food and the staff there are very welcoming and friendly. We were told to contact the owners a few days before arrival to arrange our arrival at the property. When my husband did this we were told they would email us in a couple of days with relevant details. When we didn't receive this email we had to contact the owners again. Dont like the feeling of having to 'chase' people to find out details of a holiday we have paid for. However, the bread, milk and eggs we received on arrival from the owners were very much appreciated.
