The cottage was in a perfect location, for a peaceful and relaxing break, it was surrounded by open spaces with no other houses in sight. The welcome pack was very generous and the best we have had in a welcome cottage. The cottage was very well equipped and with very comfortable beds. The owners made us very welcome as their home was attached to the cottage.Very good food at the Royal Oak in Long Bennington in the next village.

My wife and I have been doing cottage holidays since 1966.Throughout this long period we have never before had a cottage which combined so many good things as Ostler`s Cottage including the welcome. What more can we say in its praise?

The cottage was very clean and comfortable - furnished and decorated as a home, rather than a rental property. The lounge was especially nice with comfortable seating, a coffee table, and adequate lighting for reading. The owners greeted us on our arrival and were available for any questions as they lived next door. The WiFi was good, despite another visitor's comment that is was not. We were able to stream Netflix, etc. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking full meals and had a ample size refrigerator. We were pleased that both a tumble dryer and washer were provided in the cottage. Parking is literally at the front door. Although the location is very rural, the access roads are, for the most part, not single track and the A1 is not far. A bonus was the orchard in the back garden in which we were invited to pick as much as we wanted - pears, apples, plums, etc.

We loved this cottage which was very comfortable well equipped. The location was rural and very quiet. There were plenty of places to visit and some nice pubs within a reasonable driving distance. The owners were pleasant and had left us some supplies in the kitchen. The only negative was the A1 which is a nightmare road to cross. Once we found our way round the local lanes we managed to avoid it.

Stayed for almost three weeks in June 2017 while on a study trip based in Grantham. Terrific place to stay, on quiet roads (usually) out of town. Some great pubs only a few minutes away, but the fully equipped cottage meant it was easy to cook at home should you with. Everything you need - except the internet can't be relied on.

Nice cottage full of anything you might need, even a picnic basket and blanket. The location is good, not too far from A1 to explore the surroundings. Jean and her husband are very kind and unintrysive.

We loved Ostlers Cottage from the moment we arrived to a very warm & genuine welcome from Jean. Lovely welcome pack (wine, Lincolnshire cheddar cheese & posh biscuits along with milk, chocolate biscuits). The garden is an orchard, which was perfect for our cockapoo Lottie, the apple blossom was out, and we were surrounded by lambs & sheep & skylarks. Beautiful rural setting, very peaceful but the cottage had everything we needed for a great week's holiday. Two bedrooms & two bathrooms, lovely big comfortable sitting/dining room. We have been renting cottages for the best part of 10 years, and this was definitely the best for us plus our dog. Lots of places to visit & close to Lincoln. We would love to return in Spring next year.
