This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

This property is surrounded by magnificent and peaceful rural scenery, overlooking a private 120-acre loch.

Stunning scenery

Only 4 miles from the historic city of Stirling, yet hidden away in a truly magnificent and peaceful rural scenery means a perfect location for year-round holidays. Osprey Hideaways overlooks the owners’ own 120-acre loch where ospreys can be seen feeding most days in season. 300ft high cliffs frame the far side of the water, making the views genuinely stunning. All the cottages are furnished to a very high boutique standard and provide excellent accommodation for couples or family groups. A welcome pack is provided including a bottle of bubbly so that you can relax as soon as you arrive. There is also lovely linen, towels, bathrobes - and even slippers! To top this off is the honesty room where you can borrow books, a huge selection of DVDs, games, toys and visitor information. The owners live on site and are there to help as much (or as little!) as you want.

Each cottage has been named after birds that are regularly seen flying overhead, and are perfectly located to enjoy the best of both worlds at any time of the year - the peace of the countryside and the amenities and activities of the city. As well as being only 4 miles from Stirling city centre, it’s only 5 miles to the motorway junction for surprisingly quick journey times to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow and all their facilities. Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park is 20 miles away and the mountains to the north or the beautiful sea lochs to the west are all within a 2 hour drive. There are numerous golf courses locally and even the Gleneagles course is only 35 minutes’ away. For walks the choice is endless and one of the best cliff-top walks in central Scotland starts right at the cottages! Stirling is a vibrant but compact university city offering wonderful attractions, including an incredible castle, the amazing Wallace Monument, the historic Church of the Holy Rude and even ghost tours. There are restaurants to suit all tastes, swimming pools, sport centres, multiplex cinema, theatre, museum, pubs and shops. The best bit is that Stirling is very much a year round destination. The perfect place for the perfect holiday! Shops, pubs and restaurants 4 miles.

We loved this place. It was clean, had everything we needed and more. There was milk, butter, cheese, bread and a bottle of bubbly on arrival which was a nice surprise. The view of the loch was beautiful. It is really close to everywhere we wanted to go and would definately go back again.

A superb, quiet, chilled out get away, but Stirling is only a 10 minute drive away. Don't forget your walking boots though!

Good location, both in terms of view / tranquillity and easy access to main road routes to a wide variety of attractions. Friendly owner who stocks a wide range of tourist information.

A gorgeous cottage, well equipped and thoughtful extras, like bird books and a herb agarden you could help yourself to. The setting was even better. The loch was breathtaking and we loved the walks around it. Stirling is not too far away for all the conveniences.

By far the most comfortable, clean and well equipped self catering accommodation I've ever stayed in. A real home from home. The cottage was immaculately presented with stunning views across the North Third reservoir. A welcome pack of Champagne, and basic necessities such as Bread, Milk and Eggs were supplied. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cling film and aluminium foil were all supplied which is a really nice touch. No need to buy whole packets/rolls for short stays. Information on local amenities and detailed driving instructions were available and the host was always on hand to answer any queries. I'll certainly stay here again if I'm back in the area.
