The location and the village were wonderful. Parking on the street not a problem. The cottage is nicely stocked. The beds/mattresses were very uncomfortable---too low to the floor and too thin mattresses. Need better instructions for the heating system those of us not used to such a system (ignorant Americans). Fortunately, there were portable space heaters to help take the chill off.

This cottage is in a lovely village location directly opposite the village shop/P.O., and a great base for seeing many of the attractions of the Cotswolds. The cottage itself is small but quaint and had just about everything that we needed for our week long stay. There is also a lovely little paved front garden. It would have been nice had there been internet connection. We stayed there as a couple and it was just about right for our needs. The stairs are a little precarious, so if you have mobility issues you would need to be very careful, and the bathroom is downstairs. The details state that the cottage sleeps 5, but in all honesty I think that is optimistic. There is one double bedroom, fine for a couple, but the second bedroom is a very small box room, with a bunkbed and one single bed squeezed in next to it, but with absolutely no room for anything else, including storage. A couple with two small children would probably be the limit; two couples sharing would struggle to say the least. The cleanliness was adequate and Jenny the housekeeper was very friendly and helpful.

Orchard Cottage is a wonderful old style cottage. It is small but perfect. It had everything we needed for a home away from home holiday. Great location. Lovely village.

While the cottage is in a lovely village we found the bathroom not very well placed having to go through the kitchen and the stairs are dangerous. The second bedroom is very small and only suitable for small children. Lounge and dining area very nice and the cottage is well appointed.
