Excellent location for a quiet Borders holiday but you do need a car to get around. The main Border towns are in easy reach and the restored rail service to Edinburgh saves a long drive. The flat was modern, spacious and well equipped. Access is by a flight of steps which was no problem for us but may be for the less mobile.

Nice clean accommodation, comfy bed, owners terrified of you opening windows or using electricity, hence accommodation cold. Other issues picture does not show a true reflection of the location, looks like a detached cottage when in fact attached to the owners main house and does not mention quite hazardous stone steps up to front door. Also not very easy to find a couple of signs in the nearby village pointing the way would help.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. Although your comments have been taken on board and I am sorry that you feel like this, I did mention that there was no need to open windows because we have a mechanical heat recovery and ventilation system, which brings heated fresh air through it. I also thought I had pointed out where to turn up the heater, but I am sorry that you felt the property was cold. The property description on the website describes the house as being attached to the Owners and that it also has steps to the entrance.

A great apartment and location. Jack and Jane have put a lot of thought into the property to really make it a home from home. My partner and I will certainly be staying again.
