The cottage was warm and comfy however parking was difficult one day I had to park over a quarter of a mile away or drive around the village to find a space. Information about disposing of rubbish would be helpful too.

The parking is no good as the property was off the road, was greeted by the land lord of the pub he told me that we could use his car park iff we used the pub as I don't drink that was a Nono but had two shandys as I felt obligated to do so. People in the area very friendly the area is fantastic for walks if you don't have disabilities fabulous scenery. There Is a fan that constantly stays on disrupting sleep the bell on the church constantly rings through the night I sleep through anything so for me was not a problem. Would I recommend people to go there, for the area fantastic for sight seeing also fantastic I feel that the cottage is over priced but I feel that the pricing was due to the area it is located in as is quite exclusive. Would I go back again no although had a pleasant stay.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. The parking is on street as advertised in the details on the website. The clock chimes were stopped for a trial period but re-instated, I wish they hadn’t been. The fan noise is from a refrigeration unit in the pub and doesn’t stay on all the time, if it did you would probably get used to it, I’m afraid this is out of my control.

We might have booked late, but place was not clean, the toilets still dirty from previous occupants, and other parts not clean, one of the beds still had hairs on bed sheets. we stayed year before when we walked 3 peaks, and although not full of mod cons was at least loved and serviceable, would never stay again, feel like we overpaid for what we got, has gone down hill since we last stopped here.
