Enjoy a peaceful holiday from this property, or venture out and explore beautiful Bodmin Moor.

This pet-friendly barn is set in a secluded and peaceful valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Converted into a well-equipped holiday cottage, this former barn is situated on the owner’s 19-acre smallholding. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and an open-plan living space with a woodburner. Outside is a lovely garden area with garden furniture, where you can enjoy barbecues or a morning coffee. There are walks from the door, and guests are free to explore the owner’s land, Bodmin Moor and Colliford Lake which is nearby. The property is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that includes rivers, lakes, rock formations and the highest peaks on the least eroded moorland in Europe. You are ideally placed to visit the many attractions on both coasts of Cornwall, including Padstow, Port Isaac and Tintagel on the north coast, and Fowey, Mevagissey and Looe on the south coast. We had a great time at Onan, its a lovely cottage and well equipped I felt bad though that I didnt put anything in their book as we were really happy there and ideal location if you have dogs, also great for getting around Cornwall.

Splendid space, comfort and warmth at Onan. Pretty good access to the attractions we had planned, with just one 'sat nav issue' on arrival: if you have a Garmin watch out for an exceptionally narrow route when approaching Tamar from the south and ignore the final left turn instruction... The directions provided by the owners are better!

Onan cottage is a perfect cosy retreat up in the hills. It has everything you may need during a break especially with young children. If you are not familiar with the winding, narrow farm roads of Cornwall then the journey to and from the cottage can be a little nail bitting at times but the views, and cottage itself, are well worth it.
