A magnificent church conversion decorated to the highest of standards keeping many original features sandwiched between the Dales and Lakes.

This stunning church conversion sits in the centre of a small, quiet Cumbrian village and is perfectly placed for a holiday home, as it is sandwiched between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. The unique design cleverly combines original features, such as stained glass windows, beams and stonework with a contemporary, open-plan style which offers light, bright and spacious living areas, an appealing kitchen with porcelain tiled floor, a bathroom with a free-standing roll-top bath plus two en-suite shower rooms, each with a walk-in shower, along with comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms. Set in beautiful countryside, the area provides excellent walking and very good cycling. The traditional market town of Kirby Stephen, 2 miles, offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and is also on the scenic Carlisle to Settle railway line. Within a 40-minute drive, visitors can explore Ullswater and the Eastern Lakes, Swaledale, Wensleydale and the lesser known Teasdale, along with the popular towns of Keswick, Kendal, Barnard Castle and Hawes. Tan Hill, the highest pub in England, is a short, pretty drive away. The river which runs through the village of Soulby is a focal point for picnics and paddling, and children can also enjoy the nearby playground. Shops, pubs and restaurants 2 miles.

This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. Particularly enjoyed the beauty of the property that has been renovated very thoughtfully. It is set in a very quiet village with shops/pubs/restaurants a short drive away in Kirkby Stephen. Easy to keep clean if you are taking a dog. Very well equipped, worth checking what is there before you go because we took a lot of things that we didn't need to. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Four generations shared this lovely and unusual property and there was plenty of room for all. Super to have plenty of bathrooms! The kitchen was very well equipped and it was good to have an open-plan living area, so the family could be together.

Really impressed with this accomodation. It was execeptionally clean, and very well equipped. The underfloor heating was amazing, we stayed in October and it really was lovely and warm throughout the whole place. It is lovely and bright too. Really cannot fault anything. The location is great. There is a well stocked Co-op locally in Kirkby Stephen. And a Morrisons in Kendal. It is a great place for touring the lake district, aswell as the Yorkshire Dales. We visited many places in the lake District during our stay, aswell as Skipton in Yorkshire, and Blackpool. Would definately like to return, and would recommend too. Very dog friendly too.

Our second stay at this lovely venue in a very friendly village. Plenty of places to go and visit and the accommodation is spotless and extremely comfortable. It is a conversion done to a very high standard and has everything you need. I have booked another week next year already!

Sandwiched between the North Yorkshire Moors & The Lake District, this property is a lovely place to get away from it all. The property itself has been beautifully restored, and the owners have done a great job of preserving the character of the Church whilst giving the interior a contemporary feel. However, we stayed for 2 weeks in July when it was warm and due to the property only having a few small skylights, ventilation was an issue which made it very difficult to get a good nights sleep. Obviously we totally appreciate there are probably planning restrictions in place to prevent significant structural changes to the property, but the owners should provide portable fans to try and make the environment for comfortable for their guests.

Outstanding accommodation in a beautiful area within easy driving distance of the lakes and surrounding area. I would recommend this location to anyone without hesitation.
