We had the most fantastic time, cottage is superb, clean and had everything you could ask for. Owners are very friendly and are on hand if needed but just left us to our own devices. Great walks around the cottage which our 2 cocker spaniels really enjoyed. Scenery is amazing with an abundance of wildlife from the door step including the great sounds of birdlife just after dusk. We will be returning without a doubt.

The cottage is a warm and inviting space to spend a holiday. A very effective Morso woodburner keeps the open plan kitchen and living area very cosy (but there's central heating if you want heat on demand). The owners live nearby but you still get privacy and peace. There are loads of walks or cycle routes from the door. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

Had an amazing stay. Lovely couple who own the cottage and will definitely be back as well as recommending to all our friends and family.

Fantastic location, ideal for dog walkers and mountain bikers. The cottage was vastly superior to the pictures given on the website, and contained everything you could possibly need. The area contains a wealth of wildlife, a lot of which can be seen from the cottage Windows

A great cottage in a relatively untouristy part of Scotland. The cottage is warm, comfortable & spotlessly clean. The owners (who live next door) are lovely people who made us very welcome. We plan to return in the not too distant future. We'd recommend the cottage to anyone, but especially wildlife enthusiasts (e.g. there are lots of red squirrels locally), mountain bikers (there's a very good trail centre less than a mile away) and whisky drinkers (...we lost count of the number of distilleries in the area!)

We really enjoyed staying here for the variety of birds and the red squirrels and also a hare hopping up the drive on our last morning. The owners live next door and were very welcoming but left us to our own devices. Plenty of information folders and was well equipped. Bedroom was a little on the small side but the bed was very comfortable. Very warm effective central heating and wood was included for the wood burner

What a fantastic little cottage which has been renovated and furnished in keeping with it's character. It's remote location and fantastic views provide a perfect getaway from it all experience. Hosts Patrick and Anne are extremely welcoming and friendly people, proper country folk. I would recommend this cottage to anyone and would certainly consider returning myself, maybe next time in winter to experience the snow it gets! 10 out of 10, a perfect stay.
