We had a refreshing stay at the Old School with our 2 dogs. Tomintoul was just 2 miles away with plenty of places to eat, whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a snack in between. The local shop there had everything we needed. It was a joy to watch the red squirrel feeding in the garden, and the deer roaming in the field at the back. Plenty of beautiful scenery and walks and strolls in the area and the cost is just a half a 45 minute journey to some lovely coastal villages and pleasant beaches

I cannot fault the owners who could not have been more helpful! However I hadn't realised quite how close their house was! I had the impression from the photos that the enclosed garden included the pond area however in reality it is just a small area at the back of the cottage that you have to reach via the front door - for the majority of people this would not be a problem but with a reactive/chasing dog it meant she had to be on a lead most of the time. The bedrooms are very small but the large living area is delightful. Wildlife in the garden was a definite highlight!

Lovely converted School House, nice to stay somewhere with a bit of history. Set in the Glenlivet Estate there are plenty of local walks to enjoy, and of course a visit to the Distillery.
