Lovely old cottage, comfortable and clean. Well equipped kitchen. Pretty garden at rear and nice pub five minutes walk. Beautiful countryside, coast and villages in the vicinity. On a fairly busy road but can walk from the house up track opposite.

We were made welcome on arrival and the fresh flowers and biscuits were a nice touch. A great base for exploring the South Downs and surrounding places of interest, our dog certainly enjoyed the lovely walks right on the doorstep. The cottage was cosy and had all the necessary amenities.Despite the warnings the low ceilings claimed a few victims!! A rear access to the garden would have made things a little easier and the garden was a little on the small side. Recommend the Eight Bells pub which is only 50 yds away, the staff were very obliging and their liver and bacon with bubble was the best i have tasted.

A nice very old property dating back to the 1400,s. We had no problems with the very low beams as neither of us are tall. The shower arrangements need modernising as not much space and height. Traffic noise first thing during the rush hour was far worse than we expected and the same in the late afternoon. Apparently locals use it as a short cut so we were told by a shop keeper in the adjacent village as is know to be very well used at peak times. Parking was not a problem but the road opposite used for parking has bad, deep pot holes so not good if you have a low slung car. On the whole thought a good cottage if you like very old properties.

A beautiful retreat at the foot of the South Downs offering daily walks with a huge wood burner to return to. Extremely tasteful including the owners fantastic paintings making it a visual treat in all respects. Can't recommend highly enough, only downside being the busy road.

Parking in a muddy lay by on a road which was much busier than expected was a problem and inconvenience.

Really lovely cottage in a lovely village. Ideal for our autumn break, with lots of walks along muddy footpaths.

From the moment we arrived we just felt at home. It was so cosy and lovely staying there. We enjoyed family games around the fire, slept well and were able to cook substantial meals in the well equipped kitchen as well as eating on our first night in the friendly and conveniently situated local pub. Great place to stay and we will definitely be returning.
