This was our 5th time at the Old Pennistone, again everything immaculately clean with everything you need for a weeks stay. This was our first time using the hot tub at Old Pennistone, which again was well maintained. Our boys loved it and we enjoyed looking at the stars on a clear night. Our only criticism would be the double bed mattress which was extremely hard and could do with being replaced. The owner is very helpful, and it really nice she leaves fresh flower and something sweet to eat on arrival.

The cottage is really clean, comfortable and spacious. We had a lovely time there - the views from the cottage are a joy and we spent more time watching the rabbits than we did watching the television ! The area is scenic and interesting with plenty to do and great walks. We would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Beautiful well equipped cottage. Very cosy and clean throughout. Close to A66, however feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Rural, peaceful and tranquil, absolutely perfect. No need for springwatch as you're surrounded by nature, sheep, rabbits, lapwings, curlews. Lovely 10 mile circular walk that takes in brough castle, map needed. Lovely relaxing hot tub with stunning views in every direction. Enjoyed it so much we are already planning our next visit. Happy Days....

This is such an amazing cottage to stay in, well equipped, warm and cosy! There was everything that we needed for our stay and the hot tub added a little bit of luxury too. The cottage is on its own off a fairly long track which is perfect, be careful for the sheep on the way up! It was a perfect base for exploring and I would definitely stay again! Hopefully next time I will choose a week with better weather. Lots of snow at the end of April just isn't right!!!

This cottage is beautiful inside and outside. The hot tub is fantastic, but be aware there is an extra cost - but worth it! Absolutely fabulous remote location. This cottage is that relaxing we are going again this weekend.

Fantastic cottage in a stunning location. Very clean throughout and so spacious. Feels very remote but nice and close to A66 for when you want to get out and about during the day. Would love to stay here again. Definately recommended if you want to get away from it all (no phone reception...bliss!)

Had a lovely three day break, very rural, spotlessly clean..everything that you would need is available. However, no WiFi which meant not being able to work which was part of the reason for going.
