The cottage was lovely in a tucked away position. Very spacious inside and out, and a generous welcome pack on arrival.

Stayed one week at this cottage didn`t want to leave, perfect for us and description on website spot on .Not so good for children as the cottage is quite isolated, but for peace and tranquility ,perfect. Found everything in the cottage to our liking ,especially the kitchen area as we like to cook ourselves, rather than drive somewhere.Nice big bedrooms with quality bed linen and central heating system that kept the whole cottage lovely and warm. Can`t recommend this cottage enough and hope to revisit again very soon. Three adults.

Cottage was clean and tidy welcome pack was exceptional. Our dog enjoyed the garden although it would have been better if there had been a gate at the side of the premises to prevent her from getting onto the railway and road.

This is one of our favourite holiday cottages and we return to regularly. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. One of the best ever welcome box of provisions is provided. The cottage is warm and comfortable and a wonderful place to relax. We now know the area quiet well and know the best places to walk the dog, get the best fish and chips and ice-cream, and where the best shops are. We can't wait till our next holiday at Old Mill House.

Fantastic Cottage, in a wonderful area. Well equipped, welcome pack was great and enjoyed a nice glass of wine after a long drive. Garden and views are lovely and you don't notice the trains. Good Wi-Fi and mobile 02 signal for area.

Would be better if the garden was fully enclosed,as there are many gaps in bushes for a dog to get out of,and they all lead onto the main road, also the taps in the kitchen need to be looked at as they are very hard to turn off, and they need to provide a good tin opener as the 2 they have there are rubbish

This holiday cottage is fantastic value! It's a lot bigger than the photos make it out to be.... We were totally amazed at the size of this place; 2 lounges (1 upstairs - fully fitted kitchen lounge dinner and a family sized one downstairs), 3 lovely sized bedrooms, 3 shower rooms, bathroom, laundry room, chest freezer and another fridge downstairs and all the modcons anyone could need!! Well worth the money and certainly somewhere we would want to revisit. ps: You really don't notice that train, it didn't keep us awake or wake us in the morning - so if the train noise is a concern for you, it's hardly noticeable. The owner was very helpful, friendly and even called to let us know the council would be working down the only road in and out; perfect customer service.
