We stayed here for my dads 50th and we loved every minute. Clean and tidy with everything you need for being away. We come in to a lovely welcome basket with lots of goodies in and fresh farm eggs. My daughter loved seeing the horses go by each morning from our bedroom before venturing out. A safe and cosy cottage for all the family to enjoy. Great fun was also had with the games cupboard!

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Old Milking Parlour and have had a very relaxing week. The cottage is ideally situated to explore Weymouth, Portland, Swanage and Poole all of which are lovely - walking along the Beach at Weymouth is wonderful / ideal that it is dog friendly in places. We also ventured about an hour away to visit the New Forest, a wonderful place if you love to see animals wondering freely!. The Old Milking Parlour was very comfortable and although it was smaller than it looked in the pictures, it was still very spacious for our party of 4 adults and 3 dogs. One of our party also used a wheelchair and the property was perfect for his needs with the ground floor facilities. We found the property to be well equipped and it was nice to find the kitchen equipment clean and ready to use. The towels and bedding were also of good quality. The owners live on site, which is ideal if you have any problems, but they also give you plenty of privacy. In fact we would have perhaps liked to chat to the owners a little more to understand the boundaries of their land, so that we had a better idea of where we could walk our dogs. The enclosed walled garden however is great and we also enjoyed walking our dogs down into the very peaceful village of Osmington. The lane through the village is pretty quiet and you get to see some very pretty properties. Thank you very much for a lovely week.

We loved the location and the setting. The local pub, The Sly Fox wasn't to our liking but The Springhead, slightly further afield, was lovely and it was an easy drive to the local co-op. The cooker wasn't working properly which the owners were clearly aware of it (it had a sticker on it) and the settee's weren't the most comfortable but the cottage was well equipped and clean.
