A lovely cottage in a really pretty location. The cottage could benefit from an additional or separate toilet. However the kitchen was really well stocked and the house cosy and very well presented.

The cottage was nice, the shops and restaurants on the island seem to close for the winter season so it's difficult to find somewhere to eat at night unless you get in to Portree for take away fish and chips but get there early as they close at 9. Lovely people and lovely Isle, but be prepared for the weather!

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. I am so pleased that you found the Island and its people lovely. The weather is very changeable and obviously wetter in the west than you are used to in Harlow in the East of England. As you say, be prepared for it. As with most holiday places there is always a holiday season. Winter is obviously out of season, as you found, but the advantage is that it is quiet and the roads less crowded. Not that anything ever becomes that crowded on Skye! I hope we see you back, perhaps in the summer season.

a second toilet would be welcome, if staying with a house full ;-) otherwise, everything really fine!

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your visit to our cottage. I do understand the predicament and there are many modern purpose built holiday cottages available that have extra bathrooms, shower rooms, and toilets. Our cottage is an old, beautifully restored, croft cottage so what you stay in is a piece of history. The views from the one loo are rather wonderful though I am sure you would agree. We hope to see you back sometime.
