This is the gateway to the Durham Dales, Weardale and Teesdale, with splendour at Raby Castle and Bowes Museum, industrial heritage at Killhope, Beamish and Shildon. Visit Keilder Water, Hadrians Wall, the Northumberland Coast and the Lake District. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Lovely cottage with a great view when in the hot tub! Facilities in the cottage are excellent with a few lovely welcoming touches. There's also a lovely Restraunt at Thomas Wright House where you pick up the keys. You should definately eat there.

Lovely cottage holiday as our 'mini moon' we enjoyed every minute from relaxing enjoying the amazing views of the countryside, watching DVDs in the living room or chilling out in the hot tub. The extra touches the owners provide are awesome also.

Hall Farm cottage was a wonderful place to spend our 10 year Wedding anniversary. From the first friendly welcome picking the keys up at Thomas Wright House to dropping them off again at the end of the weekend. The cottage itself is easy to find and stunningly beautiful with no requirement overlooked, everything you could need taken care of and even a few extras thrown in. We already cant wait to come back and stop again to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and soak in the wonderful hot tub.

a lot closer to the village than expected but still very private , very quiet, and has everything you could wish for. The owners are very friendly and extremely accommodating as are the local people, who all seem to have a fantastic sense of humour Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others. the hot tub is great too.

Great location for visiting the local attractions in the Durham area - Durham itself, Raby Castle, Binchester Roman Fort and plenty of others. Byers Green itself has little to offer other than a pub that opens thurs -sun, the Thomas Wright Hotel ( great food ) and a working mens club which welcomes guests. The cottage itself is oustanding. Plenty of space for two, every amenity you could think of, a generous welcome pack and clean and well appointed throughout. Then of course the star of the show - the outside hot tub with uninterrupted views across the Wear Dales - sensational !!! I could not throw in a negative without it being for the sake of doing so !! Great break.

Lovely romantic cottage with unexpected little extras. Very peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing both during the day and in the evening under the stars. The very friendly staff at the nearby Thomas Wright House gave us an excellent welcome, and we had a 5 star afternoon tea and a very tasty evening meal there during our stay. An absolute gem of cottage within easy reach of Durham's attractions or for just lazing the day away in the hot tub.
