A good base for a family holiday with lots of attractions in the area to suit all tastes including Stonehenge and Salisbury.

This attractive barn is attached to the owner’s home with its own garden and patio area with wonderful views towards the village and the surrounding countryside. It has a stair lift and a disability aid to help less mobile guests to access the bath. For rambling, horse riding and cycling there is a good network of bridle and footpaths in the area. A truly rural spot, yet just one mile from the A303 and easy access to the many sights and attractions within the area including Stonehenge with its mystical stone circle, Avebury stone circle and Salisbury with its cathedral. The shopping town of Shaftesbury is within 20 minutes, where visitors flock to see the famous cobbled ‘Gold Hill’. The small towns of Tisbury and Hindon have local amenities and good pubs, both within 2 miles. The seaside resort of Bournemouth is just 40 miles, and the New Forest within an easy drive. It is also a convenient base for visiting Bath, Bristol, Stourhead, Longleat House and Safari Park, Wilton House and grounds, and the south coast. Golf courses nearby. Beach 40 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub 1 mile and restaurant 200 yards.

This cottage was more than I expected. We spent Christmas there and I personally loved it, it's ideal. I will definitely go back in the summer holidays so that I can enjoy the peace and quiet. I would recommend to all my friends and family

a lovely spacious and well equipped comfortable cottage in a quiet location with great walks in the area. Good pubs nearby. Wifi is not always reliable. The aga in the kitchen was off during our september stay. On colder days the kitchen feels cool, because the radiator does not heat it up that well.

A very well appointed cottage in a wonderfully tranquil location even though it is within sight of the A303

Lovely cottage with lots of space. An always on Aga kept the kitchen very warm, we didn't dare try and cook on it. Few local facilities but an excellent village shop at Hindon about 5 minutes away by car.

This is a most beautifully appointed, well equipped and spacious property in a wonderful location. The stairlift and grab handles were really useful for my wife who uses a wheelchair. The house has a large triple aspect kitchen - East, South and West - with double doors out onto the South facing patio which is surrounded by the lovely gardens with fields beyond. We invited family members for Easter lunch and it was ideal for 8 of us and one infant. The only reason it didn't score 10 for Overall Rating was because of a ponderous hot water system which, despite the strenuous efforts of our charming host and her team, refused to work consistently.

I was perfectly situated to visit children in school and other relatives within an hour's radius. As cooks, we were thrilled to see loads of equipment. My elderly mother found the mobility aids a huge bonus. Our hostess Juliet gave us a lovely welcome, and was amazing when I broke my ankle on the last day. Will definitely book this place again, and for a longer period
