A wonderfully quirky cottage. The owner is a capenter and you can see the hard work and care he's put into the place. The small conservatory area is perfect for morning tea, looking over the garden. There is a co-op a short walk away. We recommend the JD hotel pub for drinks/dinner and the yakety yak tea room. When cycling we came across an aviation museum near Flixton which is worth a visit. Things to note; cottage is heated by electric fireplace/rads and you'll need to pay for what you've used when you leave. Bring salt/pepper etc if you plan to self cater as not provided (although we were given plenty of milk on arrival by the owner and there are tea bags)

Overall we enjoyed our stay and the cottage has access to a great garden. Instructions on how to get to the cottage are not correct so we struggled to find it at first.

We loved the cottage and the local environment. Just the right balance for a pleasant stay with access to local amenities as well as peace and quiet! Great hosts - they made us feel very welcome. October House was fun and full of character with access to a lovely garden. We would love to stay again.

October House is a wonderful place to stay, the garden room is just fantastic - as is the garden - and the house itself is just a treat. Full of interesting touches, individual and quirky. Additional plus point for the owners, really nice people.
