Glass and steel balcony with magnificent harbour and sea views, in central Penzance, with art galleries, cinemas and restaurants.

This contemporary penthouse second floor holiday apartment (see property with round roof in centre of photograph) provides guests with exceptional comfort, with bi-fold doors leading to a private glass and stainless steel balcony taking full advantage of the magnificent harbour and sea views, the ideal place to enjoy breakfast or unwind and relax in the evening with a drink. Ocean Blue Penthouse also has the added benefit of secure private parking behind electric gates and video entrance security. The property is located harbourside in central Penzance, an ancient market town in the far west of Cornwall, sheltered by the beautiful waters and sweeping golden sand beach of Mounts Bay with the impressive St Michael’s Mount rising from the sea like a fairytale castle. This is the area in the far south west where the TV series ’Poldark’ was filmed. Ocean Blue is also close to transport connections such as the main line station and road links, providing an excellent base for those wishing to explore the delights of the far west, south, or rugged north Cornish coastline, popular with surfers. Penzance has art galleries, sub-tropical gardens, cinema, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Stroll along the promenade past the art deco open-air lido to the fishing harbour of Newlyn, continue along the coast to the picturesque harbour and tiny village of Mousehole famous for its Christmas lights. The historic town of Marazion is just 10 minutes away with access to St Michael’s Mount across the tidal walkway or by ferry. The area enjoys a wide range of sports and recreational activities, from water sports including wind and kite surfing, canoeing and sailing to art galleries and a nature reserve for birdwatchers. Take the passenger ferry from Penzance for a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly, or drive along the scenic coastal route from nearby Pendeen to St Ives and visit the wide sandy beaches of Sennen and Carbis Bay. Shop 25 yards, pub 50 yards.

All on second floor (no lift): Spacious open-plan living/dining room with harbour views, balcony, bi-fold doors to balcony, and kitchen area. Oak floor throughout. Two double bedrooms, each with 5ft bed; one with TV, one with en-suite shower room and toilet. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

Fabulous location. Great facilities. Lovely, comfortable apartment. Really central location. No issues with the car parking space, looks worse that it is, we drive a 4x4 and parked with no problem. Will look to revisit as soon as our budget allows!

A very well equipped, appointed and located apartment. Views over the harbour towards St Michael's Mount. Early birds can watch the sunrise over an early morning coffee. Kitchen has everything you could want and more. Bath and showers excellent, bed comfortable. All in all a lovely apartment to stay in and a good base from which to explore south west Cornwall - St Ives, Lands End and the Minack Theatre all within easy reach. The only downside is the allocated parking space between 2 pillars is really only suitable for the smallest car on the market. However we managed to find a free parking space just opposite the apartment block most nights.

are only regret was that the heavy duvets had not been changed to summer weight we all found sleeping difficult

All furniture and equipment were of a very high standard. A few simple instructions for use of the cooking equipment would be appreciated.

The apartment was beautifully furnished and very well equipped with amazing views. The owner had left us a lovely welcome package which included a bottle of Prosecco and a wedding card as it was our honeymoon. The parking was a nightmare however! Unless you have a small car and are great at reverse parking you will struggle. I did not find the sofas very comfortable however we only used this as a base so this was not a major issue. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, there are some great local places to eat (must check out the Dolphin and the little bistro just in front of the penthouse!)

Brilliant apartment - very light and spacious and with everything you'd think of needing and more. Sue, the owner, is very welcoming and there are nice touches to greet you plus essential store cupboard items to help you. Everything is very clean and looks newly decorated, and very modern, yet right in the heart of Penzance and the old harbour, with the best views over the harbour to St Michaels Mount. The only downside is the sofa bed which is the most practical/primary seating to relax on at night and that unfortunately gradually gave me a very bad back and took a while to recover from, but I suppose that is a personal thing & down to our tastes, however it will stop me being able to return to stay again, which is a real shame. Sorry Sue, as everything else is perfect!

'Wow' was our first reaction and it just got better!! The whole deal is superb. Sue, the owner, made everything easy. The 'Welcome Cream Tea' was indeed very welcome. Plus Sue was aware we were there for a special anniversary and she, very kindly, left us a lovely card and some 'bubbles'. The position is fantastic, so close to terrific restaurants, the harbour, the town and the bus and train stations. So, how can it be so peaceful and quiet? The downside was the narrow parking space - we were warned, but we drive a large car! Also the sofas look more comfortable than they are. Good job we didn't use them that much. Doesn't put us off returning and we hope to sometime in the future. Highly recommend this property.
