Offering attractions such as the sea life centre, art galleries, the stunning Spa Theatre, spa Orchestra, the Stephen Joseph Theatre, along with many festivals including Seafest, Jazz and Bike Week, Scarborough Fayre, cricket festival, the Cleveland Way and an 18 hole cliff top golf course all available from the doorstep. Award winning sandy beaches and a colourful promenade. The town centre offers an eclectic mix of shops an abundance of tea rooms, inns and cafes serving local produce complete the picture. There is something for all ages and tastes here in Scarborough. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 10 yards.

    This apartment is in a lovely location on Scarborough s esplanade. Straight across the road you have wonderful views of Scarborough bay. You can walk down the cliff path to the spa South side where there is a bistro and shop and an events area. There is a lift but this only runs at certain times. From the apartment you can walk over a bridge to the centre shops and a walk downhill to the beach. Not far away is the castle and St Mary's church with Anne Brontes grave in the grounds.Scarborough also has the lovely Peasholm park with beautiful walks, a lake and a cafe. Back to the apartment through the front door turn left for number 3 ground floor accommodation. There is a large hallway and to the left a good size sitting room with a comfortable sofa and tv, also a large round dining table.This room has two large windows and is flooded with morning sunlight. There is a modern bathroom with very efficient shower over the bath and plenty of hot water. The kitchen is modern with fridge , microwave , toaster and ceramic hob, also washing machine. The back door only leads to the fire escape but you have to use this to get to the rubbish bins. The kitchen gets the sun at teatime so nice to have a door to open if you are cooking. There are two bedrooms these are rather dated but the main bedroom has plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and a small ensuite with wc and sink. The bed is clean and comfortable. The second bedroom is small though it does have a double bed and single wardrobe. All the windows and doors are old and draughty but there is central heating throughout the apartment . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to stay again.

    Excellent apartment, beautifully situated above Scarborough South Bay. Generally high standard of equipment although the one missing equipment manual was for the oven which gave us some 'timer' issues. Only significant 'problem' was gaining initial access to property as outer main (communal) door was locked when we arrived at 15:30 and it was fortunate for us that a resident from another apartment arrived just after us and was able to let us in. Only other (minor) suggested improvements: a) there was no advice given, or readily available, as to latest departure time on final day; b) inclusion of a local street map (i.e. of immediate vicinity) in the apartment's information pack would have been very helpful upon initial arrival.

    This was my first visit to Scarborough, and it won't be my last. Wonderful apartment. Clean, warm and welcoming. A lot of thought has gone into making it a delightful holiday location. Only one small fly in the ointment - there was nothing in the folder relating to time of departure, otherwise it was brilliant. Thank you.

    The apartment is superbly located about Scarborough's south bay, with excellent walks into town and along the coastal gardens and cliffs. If you are visiting in winter as we did, please be aware that the large window in the main bedroom is very draughty indeed having no double glazing and being very ill fitting. However the central heating is very effective overall and keeps most of the apartment really cosy. The property is in a listed building which adds to its charm but presumably makes installing modern windows difficult and expensive

    We have stayed several times at this apartment and it more than meets our needs. We like the style of the fittings and feel they are of a very good quality. It is well positioned to access the fernicular down to the shore, especially the Clock Cafe and Spa amenities.

    We had another lovely week in this great apartment. It is ideal for our purposes and we enjoyed some lovely walks in the area. We were lucky with the weather as well.
