I thought the apartment was out dated, some cleaning issues needed addresing, in my opinion there was 1 decent frying pan and 1 decent pan to cook with but as this is self catering you were struggling to make a full meal. The apartment is next to the highlander which is a pub so you could hear them some nights and you couldn't open the window as you could smell the cigarette smoke. I don't think we will be stopping there again.

This is our second visit to the apartment and another lovely stay. Spotlessly clean with lovely comfy beds and all the equipment you could ever need. Perfect location and lovely views. Just a few issues which need addressing. The dining room table, chairs and nests of tables need a few tweaks as they are falling apart. I think the suite has seen too many bottoms and could do with replacing and possibly upgrade the TV as the sound is on its way out. Nothing that spoilt our stay though and we will be back again next year, would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Scarborough, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Lovely apartment in good location. Parking was very difficult, didn't realize the permit area would be so widely spread. Didn't use the kettle as it was disgusting and needed replaced. The ancient microwave was way beyond an upgrade to one that actually cooked properly.Found 3 sewing needles on the carpet beside armchair one with thread in it. The dining table and chairs were not really safe as they creaked and moved about a lot, wouldn't have been surprised if one of us had ended up on the floor. I made the mistake of losing my phone down the back of the couch and what a food feast there was down there! I felt quite disgusted that I had sat there all week. For a small outlay the apartment could be made much better.I think the owner needs to get his housekeeping sorted.

Parking permit problem eventually sorted by owner. Parking close to the apartment could be a problem, not easy in January. There is a public loading area 15 yards away for offloading baggage on arrival. This was our first property ever without a welcome pack on arrival (e.g. couple of tea bags and coffee sachets and milk put out to make a drink on arrival). Some noise from the hotel next door could be heard over the top of the TV on a few nights but this didn't disturb too much and on the evening of the male voice choir was quite entertaining. We were surprised how many other people were on holiday in Scarborough in January. We did lots of lovely walking on the beach and the many footpaths and there were still plenty of places still open to have morning coffee and lunch. The weather was very kind to us with lots of frosty mornings and sunshine but very little wind and very little rain whilst much of the rest of the country had lots of snow. It was ideal walking weather.
