The cottage was a good size and suited our needs. In fact we found the living area was larger than photos on the website led us to believe. The location was ideal. The proximity to the airport was not a problem. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent location for the Liverpool / Wirral / Cheshire area. Loved the cottage - full of character. The kitchen is very well equipped and as we had such lovely weather it was great to be able to open the French doors out on to the garden. Very dog friendly and our pup loved the garden. It's secure and safe which is what you want. Comfortable and homely.

My partner and I had a wonderful long weekend at Oak Cottage. As a last minute booking for a long planned trip to Manchester (the pet sitter let us down), we needed somewhere where we could take our two dogs - Oak Cottage was perfect. The house was beautifully presented and the furniture and bed were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, light and spacious and was a real joy to cook in as it overlooks and opens out onto the beautiful back garden. The lovely local park (just over the road) is great for walks and has the benefit of a large enclosed dog exercise area. The people in the village were exceptionally friendly and by the end of the weekend I was on a well known website looking for properties in the area! If there was one small negative about the property it was the lack of shower - but at the end of the day this cottage was built in 1753 and the owners have done a fantastic with adapting it as well as they have. The owners were also very helpful and accommodating. I would go back and stay time and time again.

Oak Cottage was beautiful, equipped we everything we could possibly need, it was clean, cosy and comfortable. It was within distance of all the places we wished to go. It was lovely to be on such a frequent bus service route, which meant we could go out and about without driving, heaven for the driver! Village was quiet and very welcoming, cottage and owner were extra dog friendly which really helped us to have a wonderful week. Although the cottage is under the flight path for Liverpool Airport, it wasn't a problem as we had great fun watching them come into land, so don't be put off by this small inconvenience because it wasn't. We would definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful week

I LOVED this place and so did my wife and 2 year old daughter! It has so much character! We stayed here whilst we visited Liverpool centre as wanted somewhere to stay that wasn't a hotel. This place is near 2 pubs, post office, park, playground, forest walk, food shop and has a bus stop opposite that takes you straight to the airport and city centre. We met the owners who were great. So happy and welcoming! We couldn't ask for more!
