A lovely little cottage but we were surprised by the aircraft and road noise. The facilities were lovely apart from the garden where the woodwork was a bit tired and the fence was broken.

This was our second visit to Oak Cottage with our three small spaniels and we will be back soon. The house has plenty of room, the kitchen is well equipped and the garden large and dog friendly. The 'planes start at 8am and finish around 11pm but for most of the day they are one an hour and after the first couple you don't notice it at all. The owners are very friendly and love dogs which makes everything much more relaxed!! With a bus stop into Liverpool right across the road and train stations nearby there are car free options and there are two pubs within walking distance and a large park across the road which has an enclosed dog run. All in all, highly recommended.

Charming, comfortable cottage in the village of Hale. Lovely home from home touches and a very pretty garden which our young dog loved exploring. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if in the area.
