I have only given 8 out 10 for comfort & equipment as chairs(settee comfort let it down) equipment was good. Area was nice cottage especially quite and peaceful only quibble i would have is narrow road for walking the dog with traffic at certain times making going uphill a struggle for 60 yr olds. Cottage is only a short distance up this road. and plenty of shops in village of bream a short walking distance, 2 food shops, a chip shop and hairdresser, Pub which serves food. And a brilliant small garage Parawell garage propietor Paul. ( as we had a problem with our car ) they couldnt have been more helpful did a repair to get us home expertly and quickly at a very reasonable price.

Oak is a cottage with everything you need for a holiday, cosy and peaceful too, and picnic tables in your own space for any time of day if weather is good as ours was. The lane up to it is narrow, but there is pockets to back up into or drive into if oncoming cars. We only met 7 cars in two weeks so it's OK. The sheep came out the second week we were there. So we had green fields to look at then the sheep,it was fab. There is a farm shop left on to Coleford Road, But you need to go early as it all gets bought. You put your money in an envelope and put in the letter box. You need a month or more to see everything in this area and relax as well.Puzzle Wood is a must, the harbour is a loverly walk in Lydney, also the Taurus Charity cafe further on. The Bridge Cafe in Lydney is good + cheap also Caplans is good too. The nagshead nature is a fab walk. There is LOADS of info in the cottage for all over, also a deserving charity box to put your loose change in. (good idea in in a holiday cottage) and of course there are different parts of the woods all over. We were there when the blue bells came out but it must be just as good in all seasons.
