Overall a nice stay. Never really had a dry towel during our stay as the heating was not on long enough to dry them as I was having to use towels for both showering and the hot tub. Perhaps they could provide a towel for the use of the hot tub. Even better a towelling robe. It's quite cold getting from house to hot tub in October with just a hand towel. Puts you off using it.

Response on behalf of the owner: We do provide 8 towels in this cottage. I’m afraid we are not obliged to provide towelling robes. Unfortunately we have no control over the weather/outside temperature, and as your booking was for the end of October it is likely the weather could be cold. The hot tubs have been used in the snow by other guests.

Nuthatch cottage is a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous setting. There is plenty to find to do in the surrounding area. The hot tub is a fabulous addition to the property. The location is great for dogs and the access to the two fields for walking is brilliant. The owners are lovely people, very amicable and on hand for any customers needs.

We enjoyed our stay, 10 days, at Nuthatch. Which we found very comfortable and well appointed.

The cottage was lovely and clean, and seemed quite newly refurbished. Good bathrooms. Good facilities - 3 televisions, washing machine etc. We didn't use the hot tub but our neighbours did every day and seemed to enjoy it very much, and the tubs are very private. We had three adults and two dogs and found the living area too small for us and we found the settees pretty uncomfortable. However, would recommend for two people. Lovely location.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; We are disappointed that you found the settees "pretty uncomfortable". They were purchased brand new when we opened in November 2014, and are perfectly good size two seater settees. They are ideal quality for a holiday cottage as they need to be hard wearing and easily cleanable and were deemed perfectly suitable by Cottages4You when we were inspected prior to opening the cottages. We have since checked with some of the subsequent visitors who have been quite happy with them.

Stylish comfort and a hot tub! Perfect for a bit of big friendly luxury. (No central heating 10am til 4pm... Would prefer to pay more and be warm, instead we actually timed our day trips to return at 4!)

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the hot tub and found the property to be stylish and comfortable. I am sorry to hear that you were not “warm” enough. The heating is on for 6 hours during the evening and 3 hours in the morning, there is also a large electric fire on the wall in the sitting area. There is a heating thermostat on the wall on the left as you walk in to control the temperature when the heating is on. Should you have contacted us during your stay, we would have done our utmost to assist you and could have extended the heating time. We had done this a couple of weeks prior to your stay for another customer at their request.
