This is a lovely place to stay, and the cottages are so pretty and comfortable. There isn't really anything in the area, but it's not far into Chester city centre. If you're after a quiet break away then I would definitely recommend it.

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for staying with us for the weekend. We are pleased that you liked our cottage. We have a folder in the cottage with lots of places to visit and also a folder with lots of walks printed out for guests to enjoy. Close by we have the National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig Hall, there is the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct a world heritage site, walking over is not for the faint hearted. Nearby is the lovely Welsh riverside town of Llangollen , here you can ride on a steam train, or there are horse drawn canal boat rides. There are the lovely lakes around Ellesmere to explore. Whittington has a lovely Farm Park, ideal for children to visit. If feeling energetic there is the beautiful waterfall Pistyll Rhaeadr 40 mins away, walk up to the top, to see it in all it's splendour, and then have a treat at the tea shop at the bottom. The lovely Towns of Shrewsbury, Chester with its famous Zoo for a bit of retail therapy. Approx 40 mins away we have Cheshire Oaks, very large retail outlet, and also the Blue Planet Aquarium, you can even hire a canal boat for the day locally for some special family memories, something for everyone. Then there is always the hot tub to relax in after a busy day.

A beautiful cottage just far enough off the beaten track to be peaceful but close enough to local sights to have plenty to do. We loved the hot tub - gorgeous temperature and a pleasure to be under the stars in such a quiet area (I would recommend taking your own towels as the ones provided were on the small side). The cottage was immaculately clean with up to date appliances that were easy to use. The perfect place for our first child free weekend (celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary) in years! We will definately be back.

Lovely cottage. Great if you like walking. Personally apprehensive about driving the last three miles to the cottage. Had no idea the roads were one track. It would be helpful if this had been mentioned in the description. Didn't take any photos of cottage or hot tub.

The cottage was well presented, clean and tidy and had everything you would need for staying there. The hot tub was ready for us on arrival. There are local shops and amenities but in driving distance. Perfect for a nice relax time with family or partners. Would recommend and value for money.

We had a fantastic relaxing weekend away. The cottage was perfect for our stay! We loved the little extras provided such as dishwasher tablets, salt, pepper, sugar. Cottage was immaculate, beds comfy and hot tub was lovely and warm. We also saw 3 shooting stars while relaxing in the hot tub! Highly recommend and will definitely return soon.

Lovely clean cottage, very home from home.Really tranquil with beautiful surroundings. Owner,Helen was very welcoming . Hot tub was nice and relaxing.A step going into it would be helpful but didn't ruin the experience. Local shop,Stan's had everything you could need and sold lots of fresh local produce and the local people were very friendly. The wi-fi was fine until the Saturday evening then went off but it didn't bother me but it did the kids. We would definitely go back and explore more around the area

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for staying with us, it was lovely meeting you. We are sorry there was a problem with the wifi, unfortunately we are on rural wifi. We could have tried rebooting it if we had been informed at the time. I hope the children weren't too disappointed.
