These former stables have been thoughtfully converted into three comfortable and contemporary holiday homes which are well situated for exploring all that the north west has to offer. Situated within the owner’s grounds in the small village of Sowerby, these stylish holiday homes provide modern living in a rural location. The area offers lots of opportunities for walkers and cyclists, and for horse lovers Sowerby has its own livery and equestrian centre. The market town of Garstang, which offers a wide range of amenities including shops, bars and restaurants is just 8 miles away. The Maples are well located for discovering the popular north west coast and Blackpool is just 30 minutes away by car. Other popular seaside town include Southport, Fleetwood and Lytham St Annes. Preston and Lancaster are both within a half hour’s drive. Additional places of interest include the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland AONB which can both be reached in less than an hour. The Lake District is also very accessible from here and Kendal is also less than an hour’s drive, making The Maples an ideal retreat from which to enjoy a host of activities and places to visit. Shop and pub 3 miles.

    Eventhough we went late October, the weather was very mild, so we could get out and explore the area. We had a very enjoyable week there and would certainly go again. The owners were very friendly and left us alone. Saying if we had any problems not to hesitate to knock on their door. I would and have recommended them to others.

    Such a lovely cottage. It was clean with all mod cons. We used it as a base for Blackpool. Ideal.

    Extremely clean and comfortable accommodation. Plenty of space for children to run around in. Chickens on site a bonus. Parking could be improved for manoeuvring larger cars but just a minor quibble.

    if you don't enjoy your holiday/break it won't be down to the accommodation, its very spacious,spotlessly clean and as everything you need and well exceeded our expectations and would recommend to all.....

    Fantastic week spent at the Maples . The converted stables have been completed to a luxury modern standard. Warm and welcoming hosts whom have gone that extra mile with on site facilities and extras. Ideally located for day trips to Blackpool , Fleetwood and South Lake District. Plenty of local friendly restaurants and country public houses. To cap it all friendly and welcoming neighbours to the property. Thankyou for a lovely holiday break . Rich and Paula Overton and boys
