Just a mile from the beach, this holiday village property is ideally located for Cornish beaches, walking and family fun.

This mid-terrace cottage is set in the grounds of Tolroy Manor Holiday Village. Located in the hillside above Hayle, and set in delightful grounds with the old Cornish manor at the heart of the park, the holiday village is perfectly located for some of the finest beaches in Cornwall. It offers great facilities for the whole family at no extra cost including an indoor heated swimming pool (open Easter to October), sauna, tennis and squash courts, table tennis, children’s adventure run and play area, under-5’s soft play area, crazy golf and giant chess. In addition there is a clubhouse with family entertainment, restaurant, bar, take away and shop within the holiday village. All facilities are available from Easter to October. The cottage is set amongst similar holiday properties with a small open-plan lawned area and patio to the front. This is an ideal base for exploring the rugged north coast, including the sand dunes and long beach at Hayle Towans, 2 miles, that stretches up to Godrevy Island, and the long beach at Gwithian, popular with surfers. Walk the rugged coastal path to Portreath or visit Tehiddy Country Park with its 250 acres of bridle paths, woodland, wildlife ponds and cycle trails. The scenic coastal train runs from nearby St Erth to St Ives with its quaint harbour, beaches and winding cobbled streets filled with cafes, restaurants, shops and art galleries including the Tate Modern. It is just 30 minutes’ drive to the tranquil sailing waters of the south coast: visit Falmouth with its busy harbours for boat trips and the National Maritime Museum. For fun days’ out for the whole family, visit Paradise Park in Hayle, Flambard’s Theme Park in Helston or The National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. Continue south to West Cornwall including Penzance with its open-air lido and St Michael’s Mount. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Tolroy manor is a lovely place to stay except the cost of our cottage was triple the price of the actual cottages on the complex

I didn't like the holiday village, it was not to my expectations. There was not a lot for my teenage daughter to do on site. The cottage was fairly comfortable but we found there was a strange smell. The location however was excellent, the village Hayle was lovely and the beach amazing. The surrounding towns and beaches were good too. My daughter and her friend had access to a train station so went all over. I was pleased I could take my three small dogs so that was a bonus and they settled at the cottage well. It is a shame the actual holiday park wasn't abit nicer as it could be a really good place to stay but kind of reminded me of a rough council estate. Bearing that in mind it was a lot of money to pay out. We just treated it as base and enjoyed the local places.

This accommodation was appalling. It is not big enough to sleep the number it states as there is not enough seating even in the lounge area or outside area. It was absolutely filthy and the sleeping arrangements were terrible. It was a real shock to be honest! There was no hot water in the kitchen, you couldn't use a bedroom light switch and the microwave did not work. the main lamp in the lounge did not work either. There was sand everywhere and it was just absolutely shocking! We stayed out as much as possible. The entertainment was a really very low standard! The panto did not make any sense at all!!
