This was an absolutely stunning holiday home. We met the owner as were a tad early, but he like the house was fabulous. Proper Yorkshire. The space in the house is superb and we were 7 girls in RHB for a relaxing/semi walking weekend. We had an absolute ball. We had a room each all of which come with their own bathroom. The house is so well equipped. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast on Saturday in the dining room and spent much of the time in the gorgeous spacious lounge in front of the log fire. I have been coming to Whitby, Hawsker and RHB for all of my life (grandparents had a caravan at Northcliffe nearby). We stay in RHB every year too usually down the hill in some beautiful quirky little houses. North Ings for me has by far been the best one we stayed in and we definitely hope to be back very soon (May hold if it's free). For us the accommodation was faultless and was an absolute joy to spend time in. We had drinks in the Laurel (my favourite pub in the bay) and we ate on Fri in the Bramblewick which was sublime. We had food in The Bay Hotel Sat night which was ok and only just ok. I love the pub itself, but the food was a little poor in quality. We all fell in love with the Tea, Toast and Post cafe. Fab coffee and gorgeous toast toppers, but the fish finger sandwich, was the creme de la creme. We walked to raven hall along the cliff top and enjoyed a sumptuous afternoon tea. The Wayfarer near the house was closed, but this is a superb restaurant. The Fylingdales Inn in Fylingthorpe (about a 10 min walk) from the house is also superb. Sunday lunch we went to The Hare and Hounds in Hawsker, 5 min drive back toward Whitby. It would be worth a 5 hour drive, the food continues to be of the highest standard. Simply stunning.

We found the house to be a very warm and comfortable place to spend our holiday. Every room has its own en-suite so it is perfect for a group of friends. Its location at the top of the hill is great too. There are plenty of good places to eat too and Robin Hood's Bay is so beautiful. Overall a very enjoyable place to stay. Highly recommended.

Fabulous place to stay! We have stayed in many RHB cottages, North Ings is by far the best. Beautiful home, well equipped, high standard of cleanliness, plenty of parking spaces and a lovely garden - a suntrap even in October! We'll be back!

North Ings is a wonderful large spacious cottage suitable for large families or parties, all bedrooms are large and ensuite, every room was spotlessly clean. The property is very well equipped with everything you could want to make for a comfortable stay. The property is in a wonderful location for walking or travelling to all surrounding areas, with all local amenities { pubs, restaurants and shop } only a short walk from the front door. This property is excellent value for money and the whole family would not hesitate to return to this wonderful venue in a beautiful location.

Lovely big house in a village we know well. Very well equipped and centrally located with excellent parking (important in Robin Hood's Bay). The only very minor gripe that we had was the lack of a house folder with all the useful hints, recommendations and information in. For example it took us 3 days to establish that there was no glass recycling available closer than Whitby.

We have stayed in North Ings several times now and we will certainly be going again, it has everything you could possibly want and the outside space is fabulous especially for children. A wonderful home from home! and good food in the local pubs if you don't feel like cooking.
