Description

This former farmhouse, dating back to 1731, is situated in Robin Hood’s Bay with easy access to The Cleveland Way.

This imposing stone-built detached former farmhouse, dating back to 1731, sits in an enviable location in Robin Hood’s Bay just a short stroll from the old village. With private parking, a pretty garden for al fresco dining and all bedrooms enjoying en-suite facilities and flat screen TVs, this property is ideal for a large family holiday or for celebrating that special occasion in an idyllic setting. Robin Hood’s Bay is one of the prettiest fishing villages in Yorkshire; cafes, inns and tea rooms line the streets with art galleries, museums antique and curio shops tucked away in the alleyways. An evening at The Swell Theatre, a former chapel, is a must with fine dining on offer in the restaurant below. Cliff top walks afford breathtaking views across the coast, access to The Cleveland Way is just a few minutes’ walk from your doorstep, while Wainwright’s ‘Coast to Coast‘ finishes at the shore. Visit the ancient seaport of Whitby, home to the stunning abbey ruins, a colourful harbour and marina with a 3-mile stretch of award-winning sandy beach. From Whitby you can board the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train (Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Express) and take a relaxing journey through the stunning Esk Valley to the Heartbeat villages of Grosmont and Goathland. Amazing house and safe garden for children. 13 of us stayed and house still felt spacious. Kitchen very well equipped and whole house spotlessly clean. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Bay now.

It's a perfect place to stay. Robin Hoods Bay needs to do something about its amenities, toilets atrocious and only one shop but not too far from others. The house is first class and the owners were very kind and helpful to us

Superbly equipped holiday house in a great location. Gardens, parking and outdoor space excellent too. Decent selection of pubs close by and the beach is a short walk.
