Was expecting a bit of luxury being rated at 4 stars, but was dissappointed, portable appliances in kitchen no better than student digs, overpriced and overated, could go on but have better things to do, be aware its in a pub carpark ,so expect plenty of noise,

Perfect location, but inside for cooking was not very good.

A great cottage, larger that we expected and very clean. Just two negatives; the fridge is very noisy and disturbing at night time and the WC cistern was slow to fill and only filled to half way. We had to top it up with saucepans of water!

Great location but not at all user friendly especially cooking arrangements. I would be surprised if it meets regulations to have to wheel a kettle on a trolley and to have to trail the lead across the kitchen sink. The shower was difficult to operate and the water pressure poor. The bathroom was inadequately heated by a small towel rail only. All in all tired and poorly equipped and expensive for what it was.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are happy that you enjoyed our location. I am sorry that you feel negative about some aspects. The Mews is a popular Open plan apartment, well equipped as such, but with a limited kitchen area, as one might expect. The trolley houses things such as the kettle which can be used where you wish- such as on the table with plugs at hand! It is to supplement space in the kitchen area for your convenience. As to the shower room- it is winter and the mews has seasonal bookings at this time, so could have been empty before your short stay. As for the price my property has been graded a 4 star and the prices reflect this However, for the space and location I am assured it is good value.

A couple things need improvement . The only ventilation was from the beaux windows. These were extremely high up and we were unable to open them. Secondly, the toaster or kettle lead had to drape over the sink if you needed to use them.

The place was tired and outside needed a freshen up plants in pots were dead and weeds growing out of paths ,whilst we were there met potential buyers who told us it was for sale which explained why owners had seemed to give up ,inside was clean and tidy shame couldn't say same about outside beautiful scenery short drive away, owner very helpful when I called her for instructions before leaving home
