    It was very pleasant if a little remote. Ideal for walkers but you needed a car.

    Really nice place to stay, a little bit quirky, which we really appreciated. Friendly people to help if needed. Wonderful place for walking, & just a short 15 minute walk to the shop & pub, which is very dog friendly & serves excellent meals!

    Just Great only problem is a lack of utensils etc in the Kitchen other wise the best cottage we have ever stayed in

    Good base, plenty of walks strait from the door, well stocked local shop and dog friendly pub 10 mins walk. have been coming for several years and hope to for many more.

    Our general opinion was that the accommodation is a little dated and needs and needs updating in some areas. It was generally clean but the carpets are becoming a little soiled where people (and perhaps pets) have walked through without removing the outside footwear. The ground outside is mainly sandy soil which when damp or raining we found was easy to carry in on your shoes. This applied to the bedroom as well. Some of the cookware was not very clean but there were adequate if only basic compliments of everything to make a meal. Its location is fine but is on a working stable and the horses do wander right past the entrance to the apartment and through the car park.

    We arrived on the Saturday for a one week stay when we arrived the cleaner was just finishing the cleaning and when we went in the smell was to say the least unpleasant! After my partner was everywhere around the place to find out where the smell was coming from we both decided it was the stained curtains and the rug in the sitting room so i rolled the rug up and placed it in the cupboard. The next day we went out and got some fabreeze and other cleaning detergents to clean and get rid of the wee smell and all the cob webs! The cupboads where the pots and and pans were had a foist smell which was quite off putting and there was loads of spiders everywhere! On the plus side the bedding and the towels provided were clean and fresh! And loads of walking from the door. It could be a lovely place if it was looked after and cleaned to a better standard.

    Interesting location in old farm house but needs updating: showers, water supply cooking pans etc. Very muddy after rain with probable blocked surface drains.

    Owners gave exceptional friendly service. Went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be. Would recommend to family and friends.

    Quite a quirky property. Just a little different from the norm. Not suitable for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. Lovely area with lots to do in surrounding area.
