Shops and pub 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with stone floor. Kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Lovely cottage. Home from home. Great walks on top of the cliffs just across the road through the field.

Cottage was excellent everything we needed, especially loved the fire as the weather was very cold.

What a fabulous place. Cleaned to the highest standard. All kitchen equipment you need and of the best quality. Very warm and cosy and that was in October without putting the heating on !!! Safe enclosed garden for children or pets. As for the lady who owns it, we'll she could have been more helpful. We will be going back next year.

Our second visit to Magpie's. We cannot find a fault. It's warm, well-equipped, clean & welcoming. We're looking forward to our third visit in 2018.

Magpie Cottage was really nice. It was clean, quiet and comfortable; it as well equipped and everything was good quality. The owners have obviously put some time and thought into what visitors need and we wanted for nothing. We never needed the owners but felt we could have approached them had we needed to; something reinforced by the welcome note and bottle of wine. We would have no hesitation in recommending Magpie Cottage to other potential visitors. Situated just off one of the main roads into Filey it was easy to find yet fairly quiet and it was only 3-4 minutes drive from Filey itself. We also walked in on several occasions and it only took 20 minutes to get into Filey proper - so all very good. Ideally it might have been slightly closer but we knew the location when we booked it; Filey itself has plenty of well-signed parking. Parking at the cottage itself was ample and easy and we also made good use of the modest but perfectly nice outside area, which proved an excellent sun trap for much of the day. Cottage itself had all the appliances you might want and was tastefully furnished; being both practical and comfortable; and set in a convenient location. Overall - very good.

We had a wonderful holiday in Magpie cottage. It's warm, clean, well-equipped, cosy & its location suited us as it was so peaceful with shops & places to visit a short drive away. However, please be aware of the microwave oven which is above the main oven & is too high. I'm 5'4" & could barely reach it; my husband is 6' & he struggled too. With boiling food it is dangerous. Look at the brochure and see that it is higher than the cupboards. This is important but it was the only complaint as I'd happily recommend Magpie to anyone. The garden was a bonus as the weather was hot and sunny and sitting out was lovely.

Lovely cottage, only downside is set back from a main road and have to travel by car to get anywhere. Great base to visit surrounding areas by car and supermarket less than a 5 min drive away.

Holiday really good accommodation very good would have appreciated like we have received from other cottages was some coffee tea and milk ,wine was a nice touch but after a 8 hour drive tea or coffee would have been preferred. Filey itself was very nice pity about certain places closing early due to one reason or another .
