Attractive area, pretty but basic lodge in need of upgrade. Didn't compare to other places we have stayed in with regard to facilities provided.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry our Lodge did not appear to live up to your expectations but also most surprised. A matter of days before your comments were placed, we received a letter and certificate from congratulating us for achieving “Customers Choice 2015” where we "consistently received a score of 9.5 (or above) for the overall rating through Reevoo customer satisfaction feedback for the last 12 months. This means that it falls into the top 12% of all our listed properties. The Lodge is well maintained and well equipped and so we don’t understand the comments “in need of an upgrade” and “facilities provided”. Admittedly there are not such luxuries as a hot tub or free access to pay TV channels, but the rental rates and star grading reflect that. What we do provide is very clear prior to booking. Of course if we were advised at the time of what facilities were lacking, if we’ve overlooked something, we’d wish to put that right.

Absolutely amazing little lodge, right on the bank of the loch. Loved it. Minor cautions for visitors: stock up well before you arrive, the local shop sells a decent range of items but they struggle for fresh fruit and veg unless it can be grown in the village! Secondly, the drive from the main road to the cottage is about 15 miles or 40 minutes. Don't let that put you off...we had a great week of walking, and hiring a boat for a trip around the loch is a must.

Beautiful property but some of the fixtures and fittings are a bit dated. Hopefully something the new owners will attend too, certainly nothing the view from the front window wont make you feel better about. Scenery is outstanding and the local resident Pine Marten makes regular visits if you leave a plate of jam for him. As for would I go again? The answer is, In a heartbeat. Undoubtably one of the most beautiful locations in the UK I have been to.
