Beautiful house and views, just a pity there's no pavement and walking to the beach is extremely difficult, especially with children.

Beautiful cottage, very well equipped and a stunning location. Local amenities are sparse, but that's the whole point of going there! If you're looking for somewhere you can get away from it and just have your own space and a stunning view, this is it. Also, some fantastic walking nearby and deserted beaches. Perfect!

Simply wonderful, this lovely cottage overlooks the sea and the Islands of Islay and Jura with incredible sunsets every evening. We had amazing weather, a stunning part of Scotland that we will definitely return to. The house itself is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and very thoughtfully kitted out with everything we could possibly need and lovely bed linen! Secure garden with plenty of space, a short walk to the beach and pub. Tranquil location but supermarket just 15 minutes drive away. Owners were very helpful and friendly. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back to explore this magical bit of Scotland further.

A really lovely cottage. Just the place to unwind and recharge your batteries. The garden is very secure, but remember to close the gate, if you have dogs. Our dogs loved it and we could walk them through the field to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. Even though the weather turned cold when we were there the cottage remained warm and we had no need to light the fire. The sunsets from the lounge window were to die for. We would definitely book again.

Refurbished cottage, fully IKEA interieur & equipped. If it was the cottage itself we´d given a higher rating, but the location can only be described as noisy and not worth the money. The cottage has 3 bedrooms and 6 beds, but I´d rather not go there with more than 4 people. The rest isn´t too spacious, a very small bathroom, small dining table and a sofa for at least 2. That´s it. Sorry guys, but for 2 persons this is just fitting though the price is not.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We’re sorry this guest appears to have not enjoyed our cottage. The rural west coast of Scotland is obviously not to everybody’s taste, the sea can get a bit noisy at times. Our Ercol, G-plan and Eammes mid-century modern furniture are deeply offended at being called IKEA. There are in fact 2 tables to dine from, a 4 seater (designed by Ercol) in the kitchen and an 8 seater (designed by G-plan and set up for 6 – extending to 8 with plenty of extra seats available) in the lounge / dining room. The sofa seats 3-4 very comfortably and there are 3 armchairs available for other comfy seating. If you would like confirmation before booking please see the photos which clearly show all aspects of the house. Our cottage is in a rural location, so if ‘local amenities’ other than a huge expanse of countryside, beach and sea with a pub/restaurant, local shop, cafe and farm shop in walking distance does not fulfil your requirements, this is possibly not the cottage for you.
