Our second weekend break here and once again (2years on) completely fit for purpose. Would stay again without hesitation, although a new microwave maybe worth investing in as the inside has corroded and emitted an unpleasant aroma when used. Sockets in the bedrooms are very limited so an extension lead might be useful if you plan to charge any devices or plug in a baby monitor during your stay. It is generally clean however I suspect it's been a while since the beds were pulled out and cleaned underneath...only noticed whilst trying to locate sockets. Excellent value for money in our opinion and very comfortable.

Nice old farmhouse with ample accommodation for 4. Comfortable sitting room and bedrooms. Dining room and kitchen less so due to non functioning storage heaters and inoperative stove in dining room. The building was cold on arrival but warm after a day. Stated 'welcome pack on arrival' non existent . Beautiful surroundings very peaceful and few minor problems would not stop us staying again.

A lovely period farmhouse. Well equipped and plenty of space. Peaceful and quiet location but great for access to the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District.

Lovely location with lots to do with the kids within a reasonable driving distance. We loved the house - it was well equipped yet rustic, with lots of character and there was plenty of space for our 5 kids, with a good outdoor area too. Internet phone connectivity was very patchy, not that we minded, the kids needed a break from their phones anyway! I'd recommend researching places to visit beforehand though so you can make the most of your time there. We would definitely go again, we had a lovely holiday.

Beautiful exterior (inc garden) and location made the inside acceptable! Living room carpets, sofa and chair stink of dog, had to sit on towels all weekend. Upstairs layout good for people with small children due to adjoining room. Floors upstairs slope and cheap decor. Good dining room area.

Great base for exploring the area. On arrival met with a clean cottage with all the amenities you would need. Beds were comfortable, excellent sized dining room and very well equipped kitchen with everything you would need for a self catering apartment. Very nice stay to escape and relax would definitely stay at this cottage again.

Beautiful, farm location approximately quarter mile down rough track. Garden and front view nice clean providing a great introduction. Kitchen dated but clean and serviceable. Spacious dining table and snug front lounge. Only real down side for a larger group was one bedroom accessed through the main bedroom, not an issue for us on this occasion, but not the best for groups of friends. Overall great property.

Lets start with the fact that we would be happy to return, but for new visitors do not come expecting plush comfort with the most modern facilities, but everything is adequate and warm. What really sells this place is the solitude and beautiful location, Walk, run or just chill in the garden, it will not dissapoint. Easy to get to, and just a short hop to the centre of the Peak District. I hope they do not over modernise this place it will loose its character, and probably double in price

We only went for 3 nights but the location is lovely, the area is perfect in you are into walking. The cottage is very nice and clean on arrival, the cottage is well supplied with all the essentials and was warm on arrival. The only think I could mention is that the cottage is split in two and there is a door in the dining room that connects to the other half so if you have dogs they will probably bark but it wouldn't put us off staying here again.
