The cottage is in a quiet, private residential location. There is a small, well tended garden at the front of the cottage. Our host was wonderfully welcoming and a mine of information about the local area and further afield. Our stay was comfortable in a the extremely spacious living and sleeping areas. The property is well furnished in keeping with its period setting. The only drawback for us was the very small bathroom. It was difficult to understand considering the space available on the upper floor.

Interesting cottage in the grounds of the Manor House with superb gardens and quiet location. Would have given top marks except for the bathroom which (for a 6+ footer) was a little cramped. That apart the cottage is great for touring the area and as others have noted Tim is a superb host always ready to give help or advice. We love the area and there are so many places to visit within easy distance of Soham. This was our third visit to the area and no doubt we shall return to carry on our exploration.

Lovely property, well presented and clean. Attractive gardens. Owner helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of interesting places around to visit such as Ely, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Long Melford. Only downside was the traffic encountered en route (gridlock on A14) and that the property is surrounded by a housing estate.

A really comfortable cottage well equipped and close to local amenities. The owner, is a very nice amicable gentleman who offers his knowledge and helpfulness without being intrusive. Would definitely stay again.

An interesting and spacious lodge cared for by a friendly, accommodating host. Despite the freezing weather we felt warm and at home.
