Accommodation provided plenty of room and was very pleasant. Bedrooms were all a good size, games room was great and the downstairs accommodation was a pleasure to be in - spacious and well equipped. There was a patio outside, but the large green space was some distance away. Phone signal here was virtually non existant and the wifi was very poor quality. The drive is a mile long - it is the ideal location to be isolated from people and the digital world.

We had a very short stay so we didn't explore outside the house other than a Sunday lunch at the Rose and Crown which was fine. The approach to the house is long and something of a bone-shaker. Willow Barn was excellent for a large, mixed-age group; plenty of space and a good games room. We particularly appreciated the round dining table which meant that no-one had the awkward end of the table spot. Beds were comfortable and showers delivered a good pressure of hot water. Three minor quibbles: the blinds in the lounge were ill-fitting and broken and let down the rest of house. The kitchen was very well equipped though the oven space might not have been enough to cook for 14 people. Easy chairs were comfortable but we would have appreciated a couple of higher, more upright chairs for older members of the group with bad backs. These are minor quibbles and Willow Barn will be on the shortlist for next years family get together. Finally, it was inevitable that we left something behind and that has been dealt with efficiently.
