We were pleasantly surprised by the homeliness of the cottage. There were lots of extra well thought out additions such as nets for the kids, games and books. It was also a surprise with how much larger the place was as the photographs did not do it justice. We also liked the fact that you could see the park from the balcony so could let the kids have some freedom. In general we would definitely return and think that the owner could market it better.

Lovely cottage overlooking the sea. Clean and tidy, a few bits need updating and the balcony really needs railings not a solid wall so you can see the sea. Milk, coffee etc very thoughtfully supplied. Dog friendly with no stupid rules about where dogs are allowed etc. Just one other thing about the area- the fish and chip shop in Haverigg used to be fantastic- absolutely rubbish this visit. Shame! Café on the sea front does a great greasy breakfast after an early morning walk on the beach.

The cottage has wonderful views and is in a beautiful location, but needs updating and fixing

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. Changes have been made this last year such as gas central heating throughout and new doors onto the balcony. In the next few weeks windows in the kitchen and dining area will be replaced. The balcony tiles will also be renewed with a brand new set of tiles.

This is a lovely unspoilt (as in 'touristy') area of Cumbria - well worth a visit

Lovely cottage. Location was perfect for our weekend break. Excellent choice for a young family. Lots of personal touches of in the cottage. The owners seemed to have thought of everything in terms of equipment. Cleanliness 10/10. The only fault was that we weren't staying longer!!
