Response on behalf of the Owner; We are pleased to note you enjoyed your stay at our property. It is our intention to attend to any issues, wherever possible, while guests are on site and it is such a shame we did not know about your noted points so that we could have resolved them there and then. The hot tub cover is difficult to remove and designed this way to prevent it blowing off and getting damaged.

We had an enjoyable long weekend with two adults, three children and two small dogs. The cottage was comfortable and warm and the kitchen well equipped. The garden was well fenced in so the dogs were happy wondering around the garden amused by the sheep roaming around the cottage. Everyone loved the spa in the evenings under the stars; even though it was close to freezing out the hot tub was great to relax in and have some family time together away from the TV and electronic gadgets! The games room allowed was nice to have to play darts and shoot some pool. The views from the pool and the property in general are fantastic and help you to feel you are in the middle of know where. Town is only a 15 min walk or few mins car trip - the beach is clean and a great place to stroll along. There are a few places to eat locally but if you want to shop you'll need to drive somewhere else.

It was a lovely house with a great view. Unfortunately due to bad luck maybe? the holiday did not start as expected. We were under the impression that someone would meet us to let us in but apparently a code should have been sent to us, which was never received. Only by luck did someone turn up more than an hour later with basic food supplies and let us in. Not a very helpful beginning when 4 young children have been travelling for more than 7 hours. The contact number we had been given for the owner was not answered and it later transpired that there was also a mobile number which we were not given on booking. We called the owner once when the heating stopped working. The bathroom had not been cleaned prior to our arrival but everywhere else seemed fine although not sparkling. There was pretty much everything required for the week but we had forgotten to bring washing up liquid, washing powder, teatowels, sugar, tea or coffee and had to do an immediate food shop. A handy email reminder of what isn't included prior to the holiday may have been helpful. Unfortunately the local waste collections had not been happening and so trying to squash 6 people's recycling and rubbish into an already week overdue bin was not exactly easy. There were minor repairs required, shower shelves were snapped off prior to our arrival, one of the slabs next to the hot tub wobbled. It was a nice holiday close to the seaside but could have been better. From the messages in the book it sounds like all previous visitors had a great time so maybe we just had all the bad luck.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review of our holiday home. We are pleased you enjoyed our house and its magnificent views across the sea to Ynyslas. It does appear you experienced some bad luck for your stay, access instructions have worked for all our other guests and unfortunately the process must have broken down on this occasion. We supply all guests with a welcome hamper of basic ingredients including bread, milk, butter and eggs on arrival and aim to respond immediately to any issues that are reported during the stay and would have responded to your comments on the bathroom cleaning had we known at the time. It is also our intention to leave at least a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets plus a supply of tea, coffee and sugar. We apologise if this was not the case for your stay and this issue has been discussed with the cleaning company. Waste collections are important and we have just signed a new contract with Gwynedd County council for weekly collections from the house in an attempt to get a reliable service. Minor repairs that you mention have also been attended to.
