Converted wing of Grade II Georgian country house, short walk to 17th century smugglers inn, Keyhaven Estuary close by.

In the New Forest National Park, ¼ mile from the sea, this attractively converted wing of a large 1780 Grade II listed Georgian country house lies in its own formal gardens. A 5-minute walk through a wild flower meadow (Dexter cows in winter) leads to a 17th-century smugglers’ inn serving good food. Beyond the inn lies Keyhaven Estuary with sailing clubs and public launching quay. Milford-on-Sea, 1 mile, for shops (inc fishmonger) and beach. Walking/off road cycling in the New Forest, along the sea wall or traffic-free Ancient Highway to the Georgian town of Lymington (Saturday morning street market). Local bike hire, horse riding and golf. Sea fishing, ferries to the Isle of Wight and bird watching in Keyhaven Nature Reserve. Hurst Castle, Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Portsmouth and Bournemouth are easily accessible. Shops 1 mile.

Living/dining room with vaulted ceiling. Well-equipped kitchen. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Galleried double bedroom (5ft bed) with low sloping ceiling.

This has been the most enjoyable holiday. The owners have gone the extra mile for their guests. Thank you for all the extras also. Would recommend this cottage. It's the best cottage we have had.

A lovely annex that is small but well designed so that it feels very spacious. Everything has been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. I would definitely return.

Ideally situated to enjoy walks in the New Forest around the coast, heathland and woodland. Well placed to be a base for travelling around and experiencing the whole New forest area.

A lovely cottage with lots of character, in excellent grounds with much care and thought given to the furnishings, cleanliness, amenities and information. The owners were very generous in sharing the use of their lawn area for the kids to play, and a well equipped beach hut. This made a huge difference to our family holiday as Keyhaven doesn't have any public areas nearby (within 10 mins walk) where children can play. The cottage is cosy, especially in the bedrooms and bathroom, but our son loved it, and very good use is made of the space available. The gardens and grounds of the house are just beautiful, there was lots to do in the area, the beach and the forest were great fun to explore, and we had a super holiday.

A lovely old cottage in an amazing garden. Comfortable warm, well equipped , with lots of info on local activities. A 5 minute stroll to the harbour and pub. Would definitely stay here again.
